Currently, my top 5 favorites are as followed: 1. Roy: Until he retires, he'll always be my favorite. 2. Dawson 3. Kessler 4. Danny Jacobs: I think he has a bright future. 5. Angulo
What the hell is it with you and Danny bloody Williams? The guy got beaten by a fat, FAT man lnot so long ago (and Fraudley, lest we forget) MTF
Antonio Margarito Jermaine Taylor Paul Williams Shane Mosely Chad Dawson No white fighters, I only worship them in 'secret'..
Damn, up to 5 huh? Okay, let's see if I can stretch it... 1. Paul Williams 2. Juan "baby bull" Diaz *that's it, in terms of fighters I definitely research even when they're not on the schedule and will actively root for when they fight. The other three are my stretches, who for some reason stand out in my mind but I don't really concentrate on unless I see them on TV* 3. Ivan Calderon 4. Chad Dawson 5. Manny Pacquiao
I love Margiritto - that guy's a proper throw back, one of very few modern guys willing to take a shot to land two, to go through the fire to force a win. JMM is the only one I'd go out of my way to watch right now though. And he's a hundred years old. Boxing's in a bit of a mess at the moment.
I forgot another of my favourite fighters - any fucking heavyweight who shows up having trained like a fighter and steps into the ring with mentality of a fighter. Doesn't even have to be good, as long as he trains he wins a fan in me. So we can put Vitaly and Haye into the top 5 along with Marquez and Margirito. If anyone can think of a third go ahead and put him in my top 5 on my behalf.
I would understand your take better if Haye was a heavyweight. Povetkin is one of the hardest-working guys of the sport btw
Yeah, but let's see if he mysteriously stops training when he actually fights a heavyweight. Isn't that what all the others do too?:crafty:
Yeah I feared that as well, but he's been been in top shape for a good couple of months, so he'll be in pristine condition. I get the feeling that guy has a proper proper fighter's pride, he's in it for ego and prestige, not just a pay check. :bears: And also, like a young Ali, he's way too fucking vain to come in out of shape.
Too true- you get the impression that Haye is the kind of guy who jerks off whilst looking at himself in a mirror... MTF
Of course not...I mean look at the supremely fit and athletic John Mcdermott, most recent opponent of Tam's favourite, Danny Williams, MTF
I've explained before why I like Danny Williams and no, I didn't just mention him because I wanted a reaction. I've posted with Val probably longer than I have anyone else here (beides Duncan) and he'd know that I've always mentioned Danny when this thread comes up.
Sure, so for those of us that missed it, could you just quickly reiterate why you are a fan of Danny? :kidcool:
1. Roy Jones jr 2. Shane Mosely 3. Arthur Abraham 4. Kelly Pavlik 5. Paul Williams honorable mention : Humberto Soto, Paul Briggs, Ivan Calderon
Tam is Sahaprom still active? if so my favourites are: 1. Daniel Santos 2. Sahaprom 3. Pacquiao 4. Valero 5. Eagle Kyowa also really like Pavlik and Cotto... Calzaghe will become an all time fave if he beats Roy Jones.
No order.. Paul Williams Juan Ma Lopez Bernard Hopkins Joe Calzaghe Mikkel Kessler Honorables Roy Jones Miguel Cotto Chad Dawson Kelly Pavlik Manny Pacquiao
