*that's it, in terms of fighters I definitely research even when they're not on the schedule and will actively root for when they fight. The other three are my stretches, who for some reason stand out in my mind but I don't really concentrate on unless I see them on TV*

I love Margiritto - that guy's a proper throw back, one of very few modern guys willing to take a shot to land two, to go through the fire to force a win. JMM is the only one I'd go out of my way to watch right now though. And he's a hundred years old. Boxing's in a bit of a mess at the moment.

I forgot another of my favourite fighters - any fucking heavyweight who shows up having trained like a fighter and steps into the ring with mentality of a fighter. Doesn't even have to be good, as long as he trains he wins a fan in me. So we can put Vitaly and Haye into the top 5 along with Marquez and Margirito. If anyone can think of a third go ahead and put him in my top 5 on my behalf.

 

I would understand your take better if Haye was a heavyweight.

Povetkin is one of the hardest-working guys of the sport btw

Yeah I feared that as well, but he's been been in top shape for a good couple of months, so he'll be in pristine condition. I get the feeling that guy has a proper proper fighter's pride, he's in it for ego and prestige, not just a pay check. :bears: And also, like a young Ali, he's way too fucking vain to come in out of shape.

 

Too true- you get the impression that Haye is the kind of guy who jerks off whilst looking at himself in a mirror...
