Ahhhh, soul-soothing,........An overrated, overhyped white fighter gets put into his place ,... I can certainly see why these articles appeal to you so very deliciously..:crafty:
I'm surprised HBO still lets Hauser that close to any of their fighters :: But yeah, his stuff has been ridiculously great this year - even by his own very high standards. For what it's worth, rumors have Hopkins-Pavlik only pulling in about 130K in PPV buys. If that number's true, then that means HBO or Top Rank (still unsure who gains and who loses w/ PPV) will have lost money on both of Pavlik's PPV shows.
130,000? I figured it wouldn't break 200,000, but that's pretty low. HBO's Boxing franchise is pretty tarnished at this point. They regularly do shit in the television ratings and outside of De La Hoya pay per views there aren't a whole lot of good #'s. They've gone so far down the wrong path it's hard to see how they bring it back without drastic changes.
After reading it, that was very well done by Hauser. Loew certainly makes his opinion on Rubio known, though. :: -“Rubio gets hit an awful lot,†Loew said. -Rubio emerged with a split-decision triumph over Ornelas. “That’s your mandatory,†Loew told Kelly with a smile.
