James Toney-Tony Thompson December 13th on Versus

According to Steve Kim.

Not a great fight, but it's a good sign Versus has a pretty busy schedule to finish the year.

 

I saw that earlier, but the date can't be right, unless they're airing it during the day. Why would Versus go head to head with HBO AND Showtime?

Wonder if the date is supposed to be December 18? But yeah as mentioned in the other thread, nice to see Versus ramping up the coverage.

Now that you mention it, that would seem to make more sense for Versus, given that Cunningham-Adamek is on for December 11th.

Agreed. Thompson's ability to work inside and Toney's counter-punching could make for a great fight...especially with the added motivation of what happened in their previous fights.

 

I would have guessed Neil was being sarcastic.

I expect this to be a borefest. Thompson should win comfortably.
