Roy did good tonight. Yeah, he lost straight up. He's 40 years old but no excuses. He fought hard and in my opinion he looked like he would go down in a blaze of glory if necessary ....
Props to Joe Cal. To even out box an old Roy like that and not being all that young himself is a great accomplishment to say the least ...

I loved tonights fight. It's not often that people actually see this history live . I enjoyed watching Roy dig down and still try to win after being cut and obviously down on points.
Who cares who won. They are both great and we seen it live.
    Fuckin awesome !!!!!

calzaghe is starting to terrify me

with being knocked down in the first round. Against hopkins he didn't look hurt, but tonight i thought he was done when he got knocked down. he was hurt.

I was highly entertained y the fight. Especially after it came right after the Judah-Johnson fight. That was possibly the worst fight ever.

Roy is a legend. He never quit and kept going. It's been a great 21 YEARS of being a RJJ fan, from watching him in the Olympics and getting robbed there, to meeting and hanging out with him in Vegas, and even with his losses.

We are lucky to have seen him fight in our lifetime.

Do you think the decision tonight was a robbery?

Yeah , part of me thought Roy might take over little by little after that.
Joe Cal reversed that. I give Roy credit for the rest of the fight. He never gave up and thats what matters. I take nothing away from Joe Cal. Lets face it , he's no spring chicken himself. However Roy has gained more respect in this fight then any other. He lost but he also proved his himself as a real fighter and a real aging champ.

He a legend no doubt and the fight was entertaining. I think RJJ could of did more though, and had plenty of chances to do more especially the way Joe had his hands down, RJJ barely went to the body, I think the body shots would of slowed Joe down a bit. To set up more uppercuts and his timing was off big time, I guess that could be because of Joe and the cut definitely altered his worked rate because he couldn’t see. Long time fan, but dude definitely needs to retire.

No way .. Joe Cal won straight up fair and square.
I'm just giving props to one of the greatest fighters that tried in a losing effort. He deserves some props for tonights performance even though he clearly lost.

    Calzaghe must have saw something

on the tapes. He fought jjones in a much different style than he fought hopkins and others. He kept his head close to jones head with his hands down at his sides. You don't do that unless you know your head can't be hit in that position. Calzaghe kept his hands down all night. He said it gave him more angles to attack jones. He didn't do that against hopkins.

I've always thought one of the most undestimated things about Jones is his heart. Yes Tarver 3 was a dissapointment, but considering the fact he dug down deep in the first Tarver fight to dig out the win, plus got back in the ring with the same person who knocked him out lend him credibility in that department IMO. And Tonight was no different. Jones has always had the understimated toughness of a great champ.....
    Props to Roy.........
