There's not a whole lot of in the 2008 agenda for the two networks.

HBO's schedule doesn't look that great. A lot of fights look like precursors, to be honest.

Showtime certainly gets credit for making the Molitor-Caballero unification, and bringing Torres-Holt back for another fight (and angling for the winner to fight Timothy Bradley).

    HBO
    11/15 Taylor-Lacy
    11/22 Hatton-Malignaggi
    11/29 Williams-Phillips
    12/06 De La Hoya-Pacquiao (PPV)
    12/13 Klitschko-Rahman

    SHO
    11/21 Molitor-Caballero
    12/05 Shobox
    12/13 Torres-Holt III

The 12/5 Shobox card features Ricardo Williams Jr, if I'm not mistaken.

People bitch and moan about the HW's now Haye has the potential to bring something new to the table, dont act like you guys aren't interested to see how he gets on with Barrett.

I'm not any more interested in this fight, than any other fight involving Monte Barrett. He's a nobody and Haye is a big mouth with no chin. Plenty of heavies who fill that role already.

It'll be interesting if Haye's an even worse heavyweight than expected.

That's the PROBLEM w/So-Called "Boxing Fans"...

There's Another Thread on Page 1 where Posters R BITCHING & MOANING about yet Another Network DIScontinuing it's Boxing Coverage...

But when a Guy like Haye (who POTENTIALLY Could Generate INTEREST N Boxing's Most IMPORTANT Division) has an Upcoming Fight, "Boxing Fans' BITCH & MOAN about that as Well....

    Exactly!

Haye could bang at cruiser and I think he will be more than able to take out 90% of the current HW's. He can also talk on camera and appeal to the gen pop. Im just back from NYC for the Jones V Calzaghe fight and I thought there was a distinct lack of buzz around the place [until I got to the garden] so maybe boxing needs new blood to capture the imagination of the younger generation.

This side of the water he is one of the most exciting guys to enter the HW division in years.

Now Haye is a guy that pisses me off especially after he whacked my boy Enzo - but he is still good for the sport and I will be rooting for him this w/e

Who's "bitching and moaning" about David Haye? Not believing in the guy and not being interested in this rubbish fight are not anything close to being the same thing.

People who respond to criticism like you've done here? THATS bitching and moaning.

Potential is great...especially when it doesn't have to be proven against an oponent any better than Monte Barrett.

Supposedly somebody somewhere has Barrett in the top 10...sixth, no less.

That's great for Haye's pledge of fighting a top ten heavyweight.

But if Haye's gonna get in Klitschko's face about demanding a fight, and criticize him for fighting undeserving mandatories, it doesn't show much that he couldn't find a better oponent than one Klischko battered years ago.

Any criticism about Haye hardly matters, though, as they'll probably fight each other if they win their next fights.

I really wish Fields would have laid out Barrett. In a lot of ways, Barrett sucks more than Fields.

Fields, at least, always tries and has steadily improved. And there's no way he doesn't have a great work ethic being able to go 10-12 rounds being the size of a truck.

Why would I be interested? It is like looking forward to a movie about Abraham Lincoln . You know he will get shot in the head at the end. Haye will end up spitting up a blood and sperm mixture out of his mouth as soon as he fights any decent heavy, decent by today's standards. The dude is a loud mouth chinny homo.
