    Barrett 226
    Haye 215

I thought Haye might come in a little heavier than this, but against a not-so-big heavyweight like Barrett perhap he thought it was more important to keep some speed.....or perhap that's just his natural weight

    predictions?

    Haye KO 2

I'm rooting for Haye.. I hope he doesn't get stretched..

thing is.. we KNOW he can hit! but can he take it??

I'm gonna say Barrett has a shot but I'm going to Haye to KO him in 2-3

Haye is light at 215- that's not really the sort of weight gain he stated he'd be aiming for nor the sort of weight gain he'll need against the bigger lads.

As for tomorrow, he should be too quick for Monte and, presuming (some of?) his power carries, he should be able to have a relatively early night.

Not a good fight to take for Haye at all.... If he wins easy so what? Does he then go to Klitschko and say I beat MOnte Barret? Klitschko says "big deal."

If Barret outslicks Haye then we lose the perrenial puncher in the division before he ever really has a chance to learn how to use that punch.

Klitschkos are hoping that Haye loses to a slickster and they are off the hook and it could happen.

Barret has been in many battles with punchers he will probably try to tire Haye out, take him into deep water and drop a few bombs on him late.

Wow, LOK goes outside of his "(American fighter) fucks (overseas fighter) in the culo and shits in his mouth" template?!?!

I expect Haye to KO Barrett, though not as early as most seem to believe.

Ridiculous. Both Klitschkos will knock this bum out and neither one of them is the least bit worried about Haye.

Let's see if he can even get by Barrett. I have my doubts that he will.

Are you somehow referring to Barrett as a "slickster"?

    Easily.

Wlad is worried about every fighter with skills, a pulse and a punch. Fortunately it is difficult to find such a fighter in the heavyweight division, since 70% are without skills, 25% are without a pulse, and 1/3 of the rest is his brother. :boohoo:

I hope Haye looks good against Barrett and is successful at Heavy. Hes really the only hope of breathing life in that division right now, and hes exciting.

Haye KO 7. Wouldn't shock me in the slightest if he lost though. He is utterly unproven and untested at heavyweight.

In the lighter weight divisions, a guy can lose his punch by moving up just a few pounds (Pavlik for example) - yet people are assuming haye is still a monster puncher at heavy?

I think he'll still have respectable power, and enough desire to stop barrett, but his punch won't be as good as some of you think. Barrett won't crumble the first time he gets hit.

Haye won't amount to much in the HW division. Wladimir would decapitate him...

Barret is a veteran who has been around... that makes hin a slickster of sorts. He has a lot of experience which can be detrimental as shit to Haye who has to adjust to setting up his punch.

I explained myself in previous post... what is this? now everybody who is a contrartian or who has a slightly different opinion will be ridiculed?

This is a bad fight for Haye Barret is slick and experienced enough to derail him. Dangerous and bad fight. Very bad matchmaking.

I think, who gives a fuck what I think, but Haye's power will carry over to heavyweight, he's not a cruiserweight afterall, he was determined too large for that,... I expect him to do alright, but would simply like to see him prove it first, :dunno: is there anything wrong with that?.. I've seen british posters, and 'hopeful americans' chant that Haye will wipe these jelly babies out like Mike Tyson did, all bar Buster. But bitterness, isn't always logical :nono:.

George Foreman was a veteran who had been around, did that make him a slickster? Experience doesn't = slickness.

What do you mean? If worn, torn and tired Barret can stop the blazing cruiserweight champ, it proves that the heavyweight division is a strong one.

Not gonna happen though. Barret is not a puncer and no more a mover either, he is a good opponent fo Haye to look good

Jesus christ Cliff fucking Couser KOed Barret in two rounds... Dude always liked to go down but his abilities to get up must have slipped quite a bit. If Haye needs much longer than that it would be an embarrassing result.

That is partially what bugs me so much about this fight:

    1) If he wins easily he just beat a guy who got Coed by the likes of the above...

    2) The absolute most one could say about Barret is that he went tooth and nail with Raman hasbeen.

    3) Barret has enough experience to exploite any weaknesses that emerge in Haye's game. He also has a fairly decent beard.

there is no payoff and a little more risk than percieved by many in the Barret fight for Haye.

Peter McNeely did better against Tyson than Barrett will do against Haye. This is as easy a win as they make.
