And what was Oscar at 18?

Read the subsequent posts. I think Manny is a natural featherweight, and Oscar a natural welterweight. Still a huge size disparity.

This is the second time you've wished death or serious personal injury on a boxer. This is a boxing forum for people to talk about boxing, not a forum for people to wish death on boxers or each other. That's quite enough on this topic. Stick to the point of the thread or just don't post deathwishes. It's classless.

I really feel that DLH should be able to stretch him in 1 or 2 rounds...

if he doesn't either he is carrying him or Manny really is incredible

Manny needs to hit DLH with a low blow really really hard in the first round. Not only will that take the wind out of DLH's sails, he'll be in pain and will lose his focus and strategy and will try to go after Manny. And Manny can run around and let the old man lose his legs and then wipe DLH out after the 6th round.

Height and reach are rarely the deciding factor in a fight. Tam is right.

What do you mean specificaly. It seems now you have carte blanche to make up any fix in retrospect. What sort of fix do you see? Oscar taking 10 from a phantom body shot again.

No, but DeLa CARRYING Manny Pac is a DISTINCT Possibility...

U Know, Similar to how Bernard CARRIED DeLa for Several Rounds???...

KNOWING the Smaller Man CAN'T Hurt U, just FOLLOW Him Around the Ring for a Few Rounds as he's Landing Shots w/the Effects of Cotton Candy Behind Them...

DeLa COULD Walk Right Out & BLAST Manny Pac N 2 "Bolivian", ESPECIALLY if Manny HIMSELF Came Out Aggressively...But These Days, DeLa is MORE Suit & Tie than Prizefighter, so he's Interested N "THE SHOW" Itself...The LAST Thing he'll Want is To END a Fight of that Magnitude EARLY...

So AGAIN, there's a Chance he'll FOLLOW Manny Around N UNinterested Fashion (for SEVERAL Rounds), SUCKERING the Watchers Into BELEIVING Manny just MIGHT Pull it Out, THEN KO him the Instant he WANTS to...

Xplosive is Suggesting that DeLa will LOSE a Decision to Manny Pac Due to a PREarranged Agreement of Being Able to "Control" his Career Thereafter...

After DeLa TAPPED OUT vs. Bernard, Next Thing U Knew, Bernard was Running Golden Boy's EAST Wing...So Xplosive's Train of Thought ISN'T Preposterous...

Ok, let him say that then. I was just asking. ANYWAY, hOPKINS CERTAINLY DIDN'T CARRY dlh. Hopkins had a wtf look the whole night. He just kept coming on and Oscar took the first body shot out of town. The funny part is I came on her a week after the fight and said DLH took a dive and not a single person supported me. Now it is assumed to be a fact. Hilarious.

I was gonna say, the only reason I can see nobody supporting him (aside from him being Ike) a week later, is because they've already spent all week talking about it.

It was suggested immediately after the fight. It was suggested during the replay a week later. And again a couple of weeks later, when the same two fighters suddenly became business partners.

Ike, I'm honestly amazed that you missed all of that. Or was everyone just being too subtle for your liking?

I wish there was a RBR archive here. It would be great to go and read the DLH/Hopkins fight thread.

Manny will be C.E.O of Golden Boy Phillipines.

That is actually what I would tell Manny to do if I were training him, but Joe Rein asked Manny why he didn't do the same thing in the Agapito Sanchez fight after being repeatedly fouled and Manny repied "I'm a sportsman."

I told Juan Lazcano to do that exact thing to Ricky Hatton, hit him under the cup hard, but not with all of your power.

Why would you tell a fighter to cheat by purposely low blowing another fighter?

    That's quite frankly , despicable.

Can't win fair and square so , punch him in the balls like a girl??? :shit:

Thanks, I thought so, especially after demonstrating to him how it should be done once Hatton started holding and hitting him as the referee was going to let him get away with it.

As it turned out, Hatton fouled him the whole fight so that remark about fighting like a girl applies to Hatton then as Juan didn't foul, Hatton did.

Hatton hit him low several times, watch the tape.

Maybe you misunderstood my comment ...

The remark about fighting like a girl applies to anyone that would make a bitch move like intentionally hitting someone in the nuts.

Someone fighting dirty by wrestling, holding, rabbit punches , etc etc , is bullshit and obviously against the rules and points should be taken for it.

But ... where I come from ... a man hitting another man in the nuts ??? That's a bitch move worthy only of a girl and I think it's a despicable thing to intentionally do worthy of the highest level of shame.

Any trainer caught telling their fighter to punch a man in the nuts to level the playing field and make up for his deficiencies in the fight ... should be banned from boxing.

I was in my first quarter of the first year of law school. I didn't look at the board. I was in the law library and I started a thread a week later and I got crucified. That is why I have that opinion. Maverick agreed with me. The funny part was Stingerkarl went crazy on me and a few months later he was caLLING THE dlh FIGHT A DIVE.:lol:iF YOU GUYS SAY SO, but I remember correctly.
