I think Mayweather is a better "two-way" fighter in terms of combining offense and defense, but i don't think it would make a huge difference in this one. I see Whitaker getting Mayweather to lead moreso than the other way around which gives him the advantage. Although a key weapon of Floyd's would be his fast straight right against the southpaw Whitaker. I just don't think he lands it often enough. (especially after Whitaker adjusts) It's a fight that would be both intriguing and tedious at the same time. If i had to pick i would go with Pernell via close decision but it could probably go either way.
probably Mayweather wins a close decision would be Whitaker's jab vs Mayweather's bigger punches....the harder punches deserve him the win
