If you could have one, what would it be? I would have to go with soccer kicks. Especially after the Fihlo fight, I know its the WEC, but same rules.
REED Would Place Some Sort of "Count" on the Length of Time Guys can Stand Against the Cage LEANING on Each Other... For Loooooooooooooooooong Stretches of the Lesnar-Couture Fight, they Both just STOOD There Against the Cage Doing NATHAN...Guys Should B PUNCHING, KNEEING, Attempting TAKEDOWNS or Something... When Guys R Against the Cage & there's a LULL N the Action, the Ref Should Begin a 10-15 Count...If he Reaches that Designated #, Break the Action & Make them Reengage... REED:hammert:
In UFC Title fights, they should go to scorecards after 3 rounds if there is an accidental headbutt or injury. The Anderson Silva/Patrick Cote fight was a prime example of that.
I didn't have a problem with that in the Lesnar Couture fight. Couture backed Brock up to the cage like he does with everyone, only he couldn't do much once he was there. Brock was just controlling Couture's arms and not allowing him to do any punching or work of any kind. It was only the first round and they were feeling things out. If it continued like that for longer than it did it would be a problem though. I really wouldn't change anything. I think the rules they have in place right now are the right rules. MMA is getting sanctioned everywhere now, because the rules have been changed to the way they are now. I like it this way.
Knees on the ground and soccer kicks to the head has to be allowed, I can live with stomp being illegal but these two are essential, without it, its barely MMa
legalize knees to an opponent thats on his knees (or 1 knee), knees to a totally prone opponent are too dangerous
Accidental headbutt, sure. If you hurt yourself though tough luck. You lose. Otherwise you leave a lot of shady stuff that can happen.
