While I think Kessler could be the better fighter, I think Benn intimidates him and win a decision.

It would seem a guy like Benn who through a lot of wide shots might get picked off by the compact and accurate punches of Kessler. I'm not so sure it's that simple.

If you saw Forrest and Mayorga in separate fights you might also figure Forrest would butcher him with ease.

I'm not saying i'd favor Benn, but it would be interesting to see how Mikkel would handle the intensity and power shots coming his way.

The Benn who beat Mclellan does not lose by KO to Kessler having lost every second of every round. No way on earth.

I'd probably favour Kessler, but with two reservations. Kessler hasn't beaten a single fighter anywhere near the calibre of Been- his only elite contest saw him lose. Also, once Calzaghe started to hit Mikkel hard, Mikkel seemed to become a little discouraged. It would be interesting to see how he reacted to Benn landing a couple of his bombs...

At his best, I'd probably favour Benn. Kessler's a competent fighter but whether he's got the nastiness in him for the kind of outright hostility and fire Benn would bring at him is another issue. He just seems a bit nice, for want of a better word to deal with Benn psychologically, I think he would freeze up.

Kessler by being a better fighter and having the chin to take some heat.

You always pick the British fighters in a matchup...Mythical or otherwise. You even had the audacity to pick the outmatched Ricky Hatton over Mayweather if my memory serves me correctly.

Benn did not have the skill, the style, the chin or the size to beat Kessler. No way no how!

On a good night - Benn. Too ferocious, too powerful. Kessler looked discouraged against Calzaghe, he would be just as discouraged against Benn's sheer aggression, the difference is he would be getting hit a lot harder.

Kessler is an excellent fighter, but he doesn't have the heart of a warrior.

    Nonsense.

Kessler wasn't discouraged, I think he just couldn't figure out how to deal with Calzaghe's speed as Joe was countering him well. Kessler has an excellent defense and against Benn he wouldn't have any trouble seeing ounches coming and countering them. Kessler by quite clear decision

It's certainly possible, but honestly I think Benn would win.

And yes it's true, Joe doesn't exactly have the easiest style to figure out, and he is quick and unpredictable, but I still sensed that Kessler bottled it a bit, and was quite obviously discouraged.

Listen you short fat Hawaiian virgin...

I picked Calzaghe over Lacy, Hopkins and Jones and picked Wlad over every black Heavyweight he's faced..and the same for Vitali.

So quit this black vs white nonsense!

only way benn wins is if he lands the air borne head-butt he ruined mcclellan with.

Benn sucked. KOed by a jab. Most decent fighters would have beat the stuffing out of that fraud.
