    B.J.Penn is back!
    TITO is back!!!!!
    Frank Mir is back!
Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz being named TUF3 coaches!!!
    UFC57: Liddell-Couture 3!

Nate Quarry being involved in a highlight reel KO.
    GSP crushing the muscle shark.
Hughes crushing Riggs, who will soon be fighting at 160. :D
Jeremy Horn getting a disputable win (I thought Prangley won)

...and then the worst heavyweight fight in recent memory. :Oscar after a bodyshot:

Yep, UFC56 had something for everyone.

I thought it was a pretty decent show. If not for Dana's announcements it would've been ho-hum. BUT, BJ fucking Penn, and Frank Mir, possibly two of the best 5 P4P fighters in the UFC.

Rush whupped some ass, and will beat Hughes in the rematch(I hope)

And boy oh boy was Nate not ready for that. The fight shoulda been stopped the first time, but Rich left off cuz he felt Big John come in from behind.

TUF 3 if going to be interesting to say the least :D

according to the ortiz interview on sherdog,

ortiz will fight Forrest in I think April, then Ken, and then the winner of Chuck/Randy 3. That seems to be a ton of foresight, but thats what Tito had to say

Tito's past his prime. He's gonna get hanged. The UFC needs some new stars. They should throw a bundle and get CroCop and Fedor. Those guys have very appealing styles that would bring in fans. Everybody loves the KO artist. Ortiz on the other hand is mostly a bore. What do you think?

The show was absolute shit. Everyone knew Franklin, Hughes and GSP would almost certainly win. I didn't get excited watching any of those fights, apart from Franklin/Quarry. And the excitement in that fight was all down to the fact that Quarry was so bad.

I agree 100%.....I've NEVER been a fan of Tito. His style is crap to say the least. At least it looks like Zuffa is making a push in the right direction, and really forking out some dough. I'd love to see some of the big names come to the UFC, or at least see guys sent back and forth more often. I dont see why UFC has all but eliminated the lightweights either. IMO thats the most exciting division in Pride. Guys like Pulver, Hansen, Edwards, Gomi, Mach, Gurgel, and even Crazy Horses sorry ass are crowd pleasers.

I was actually thinking about this shit last night when I went to bed about how it would be awesome to see bouts like

    Nog -v- Mir
    Cro Cop -v- Arlovski
    Arlovski -v- Fedor
    Silvia -v- Cro Cop
Shogun -v- Chuck (I think Shogun would blow Chuck out, as Chuck doesnt really do well with guys who rush him)

And where the fuck was this Rich Franklin when Baroni was around? That would be an exciting fight.

I bet alot of people thought Sherk would at least have a better showing than that.

I think the announcements made the show worth while. Even with being a big time Tito hater, it'll be cool to see season 3 of TUF.

Oh, BTW, why the fuck is Shamrock still fighting?????????????????

yeh but you notice a trend in those matches ?
    Pride would win em all
Nog would toy with Mir and then put him in the Anaconda bitchslap choke
Crocop would talk thru Arlovski ( I like Arlovski though he's great for UFC and I hope he stays champ for awhil )
Fedor heh... he'd just cripple Arlovski
Silvia would get owned by Crocop like a red headed stepchild
Shogun vs Chuck would be a 50 50 matchup though
but Wanderlei or Rampage would easily own both Chuck and Randy
