I mean we had people here who said Manny has that little chance that the fight was downright criminal. So even being competitive would have made them wrong. Manny beating him double... Manny raping his ass like that... :hammert::kidcool:

I'll take my crow. No excuses.
I picked DLH via TKO rnd 10.
It's always strange to see one of the "greats" of his generation get dominated like that.

I should have some minor crow as well since i was donnybrooking over it like crazy.

First played Pacman @ +250 than DLH bigger @ -165 then Pac on points "in-play @ +300 but then Pac by KO @ +650 which had me leaving with 150 bucks on the positive. Soooo i guess i was RIGHT!

I've been firm on Pacquiao since the beginning here, and I have no bones with people who thought DLH would win. Pacquiao has been underrated since beating Marquez twice, so I wasn't surprised that people were down on his chances.

If manny keeps this up, and beats Hatton, then fights Mayweather. He's gonna go down as one of the best ever, w/o question.

But that chickensh*t Mayweather is retired. Why bring his name up?:dunno: He hightailed it outta there when Cotto and Margarito were knocking on his door. As far as I'm concerned, the main opponent for Floyd is Margarito, not Pacquaio.

I'll gladly eat my crow. And those stating that they knew manny would beat him, or even KO him made their picks with their hearts, not their heads. Kudos to pacman, he put a well-deserved beating on Hoya's ass.

I didn't .I gave a logical reason why he would win in the predictions thread( http://www.fightbeat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29219&page=9 )and I also find that insulting

Your clearly sore with the way things turned out and need time to heal.

Pacquioa will not 'storm' his way over Margarito, the storm will come to an abrupt and brutal, BRUTAL end there,.. Pacquioa loses to Cotto, Clottey, Cintron, Williams,.. virtually every good, active, healthy welterweight,... At 140 he might do well though,..

dunno if crow is necessary because it's more a case of DLH being old rather than Pac performing above expectations

I don't know if it's DLH being old, but both fighters fought the weight scale as well as their opponents, and surprisingly to me at least, Pacquiao won both easily.

Those who are going to take crow are those who talked major shit prior to the fight, and I doubt DLH has any obsessed sick/twisted fans that did that.
My heart said Pac, my head said DLH, and I did lose a lil coin on this fight, but I am glad Pacquiao won and gave the crossdresser the beating he deserved his whole career.

My heart said Dela my head said Pac. I'm a big fan of the pac man aswell so this victory is bitter sweet.

Saying Dela threw the fight is stupid did you see the look on his face after 3 rounds or even more so after the fight...

Congrats to Manny pac he was amazing and is without doubt the best fighter on the planet. Yah and that includes Money Mayweather

This is simply not true, at least that last part. I talked about this fight in depth with alot of people, and no I didn't think Pac would KO him, but I thought his speed and age and activity would lead him to victory

my prediction began as a will-him-to-win type pick for the sake of picking against Oscar, but as it crept closer to the fight (and my official prediction, posted here and elsewhere is my proof), I believed/thought that he'd keep it close through eight than take over in the final four.

I don't talk too much shit about it because I never saw the fight playing out as a dominant performance by Pac,never mind a shutout AND Oscar nearly knocked out AND eventually quitting on his stool. Don't get me wrong, I'm celebrating the hell out of this win. But I'm mad at myself for not envisioning Manny scoring a stoppage win, never mind one that dominant

But as others pointed out, you're wrong in assuming that every Pac pick was made with the underlying belief that Oscar would win and size would have everything to do with it.

Oscar 'just' fought floyd and floyd didn't hit him that cleanly that often. And Floyd is quite a bit faster than Pacq.

Oscar's defense has always been superb when he's up against a fighter he had any fear of. So imagining pacq being able to outpoint him was far more foreseeable than believing that pacq could carry his power, speed, stamina up to welter...and that oscar would be so helpless that not only could he not do anything offensively, but couldn't even be effective with defense.

    .......

Well, it's been mentioned Oscar hates fighting lefties. Even late in the Sturm fight when Sturm changed stances he was beating up Oscar worse. Pacquiao being a fast left handed fighter didn't help anything.

Actually Pacman is quite a bit faster than Floyd. Watch Floyd - Oscar, then Pacman - Oscar, and you'll see for yourself.

I don't necessarily agree that Pacquiao has faster hands, but his straight left is thrown short and compact, and he uses his legs and waist more to put himself into position to punch first.

Mayweather has fast hands, but he's a counter-puncher, he holds his hands in a more defensive posture and he doesn't use his legs nearly the way Pacquiao does to set up his punches.

I think basically everything about Pacman is faster.

The sheer velocity on his straight left is WITHOUT DOUBT faster than Mayweather's right hand. It's also slightly straighter.

    He also moves quicker.

Mayweather's reactions are tops, he has good hand and footspeed, and just great defense. Mayweather is very economical and clever with his movement, full of subtleties. To be honest mayweather is not even that fleet footed, he doesn't BURN across the ring like pacman does, it's more just that floyd knows exactly where and when to move, and is very effective with it.

But honestly, he has never been a speed demon, not in the same league as a prime Mosley, or Zab, or Roy, or Leonard, Camacho etc.

Not from me. I think the only crow eaters should be people who think this fight was a joke. Still, the outcome was shocking to me. Not that Pac won, although I am surprised, but that he raped DLH. tHAT was shocking.

Floyd is actually not that fast. Zab Judah, when he wasn't gassed, was easily out speeding Floyd.

Floyd is a technician, his blessing, and his curse (why people don't enjoy his style). He's all about timing, and punching at the right opportunity. Unfortunately his style isn't crowd pleasing, and why no one really cares that he retired, sadly enough.

Yes he is. Like I said, watch floyd against Oscar, then Pacman against Oscar and tell me who is faster.

    Pacman is significantly faster.

Exactly. Floyd is no speed demon. He is just a very, very efficient fighter.

He is all about timing, accuracy, subtle head movement, counters, and knowing EXACTLY where and when to move at the right time, when to throw, when not to throw etc.

Floyd is a master technician, no doubt about it, but he is no speed demon. Even at 130 his speed was not exceptional.

Zab was clearly the faster fighter when they fought.

And Pacman is clearly the faster fighter, I can't believe people are arguing otherwise.
