Now I would really be pumped by this one. The former undisputed P4P #1 fighter in the world coming back to challenge the current, undisputed P4P fighter of the world. Both coming of their most impressive victories, both fast as hell. One an offensive machine, the other a defensive wizard. Neither with a conclusive loss in their prime and both coming without losing for years even after going up in weight. Champions in more than 5 divisions, I would pay to watch this fight, it would be fucking HUGE and exciting. Who wins? Should Floyd come out and take it? Should Pacquiao aim for this fight? How should they fight each other? Anyone?
manny wouldn't have a chance, do you guys forget he lost to marquez. anyhoo, stop wnaking him off cos of the bullshit that happened last night. manny would lose to mayweather, hatton, cotto, etc etc.
He just beat Marquez too in a very close fight. Don't forget JMM is one of the best fighters in the world right now, probably the most skilled.
Pac needs to call out Floyd. When Hatton KO'ed Castillo (Something Floyd couldn't do) and called PBF that really got to him and motivated him to take the fight and shut him up. I can see it happening now with Pac's destruction of DLH.
If Floyd could make 140 (which he certainly could) I would say this would be the most important fight since Whitaker-Chavez. This HAS to be made now.
I'd rather Fraud take on Margarito,.. because um,... lest we forget, Pacquioa didn't beat a formidable opponent tonight, he beat a larger opponent, but a complete NON FACTOR at welterweight...
if I'm Manny, I make Floyd fight me at 140...with that said...with the year off, Floyd probably won't be as sharp as he would have this time last year. I'd still pick Floyd but it would be a tough fight. Manny would throw more punches, but the advantages he had center ring vs Oscar virtually disappear vs Floyd. He'd have to use volume punching (kinda like Calzaghe-Jones) because Floyd still has the legs and reflexes to catch Manny when he's most vulnerable. I'd like to see Manny dismantle Hatton first, get a title at 140 then move to Mayweather. "However" If Manny beats Hatton, there's no need to fight Floyd. At this point, it's safe to say that historically Manny is more significant than Floyd. From a business standpoint, I wonder if Arum would want to reward Mayweather with another payday. He'd already have one guy run through the Golden Boy stable...Barerra, Oscar then Hatton. Arum could do a huge "fuck you" to Floyd. Seriously, based on last night...doesn't that make DLH-Mayweather look tame and irrelevant?
I agree that Arum won't be too keen on making it because: 1: He's got more options he doesn't have to pay that much. 2: Despite all the bullshit he talks, he knows Floyd would handle his star. The only way it happens if it's HBO pushes for it and comes up with too much money. Which in my opinion would be worth it.
