    According to boxscene.

Apparently Torres is "sick".... or in other words.. he realized he was gonna get put to sleep again.

    That sucks.

If Top Rank can't get one of their fighters ready, Victor Ortiz should be well rested and ready to go.:fightme:

I think Demetrius Hopkins was already scheduled for this card.

ortiz shouldn't take that fight even if offered. sure he's in shape but with zero prep towards holt who is an awkward/unique foe. holt can whack and is way too dangerous.

Pacquiao should be able to lose nine pounds between now and Friday. Not like he's been in a fight or anything lately, he should be ready to step in.

    I don't think he's a serious option.

Mike Alvarado has a fight coming up and Demetrius Hopkins was already on the card.

Maybe one of them gets the slot.

But seriously, this really sucks if Showtime has to end their year with Holt-TBA... or worse, no fight at all. I think Yuir Boreman-Jamie No Moore is the co-feature - unsure if it was even scheduled to be a televised co-feature, but no way in hell does that pass as a Showtime main event, so hopefully that's not Plan C.

the Foreman fight was scheduled as the U/C fight. No way is Showtime stupid enough to think it could pass for a main event.

he put Holt to sleep as well if I'm not mistaken. Holt is probably relieved.

He didn't put him to sleep, but he was coming on when the fight was stopped.

It was simply a race to the finish for Holt.

He said it wouldn't be a problem. I'm not so sure it'll be as easy as he claims. His fight was supposed to be at 144 or 145.

Except that his inconsistency ranges from being way better than dhop to a lot better.

That's exactly why I'm pissed. I was actually looking forward to this rubbermatch, and if Holt loses, we might not see the third fight.
