The Children's Place and The Disney Store?

Those are good examples. In the Toys R Us and Babies R US I think it does make sense because they sell completely different products to similar markets. The Children's place and Disney store was strange because they have very similar products and it isn't working out very well from what I've read.

    But thanks for the examples.

Spoken like someone who doesn't have kids (or at least has never shopped for them).

Even in just limiting it to clothing, The Disney store is littered with products with one Disney character or another. The Children's Place... isn't.

Most "mergers" these days are basically one company buying another.

Citi and Smith Barney is a merger where there are still two different enteties. It happens in banking alot, actually.

Although this conversation is over, I'm not sure what you mean by "a lot". TD just took over Commerce. Capital One took over North Fork (I believer) Chase took over Manufacturers. I'm no banking expert, but seems like the opposite is true.

    am i missing something here?

i've only been to the new ring website once, mostly due to the fact that i hardly ever visited that site before and the site doesn't load on my work computer for some reason.

Well...you've got a reason to go there now.

Yes, Doug left Maxboxing officially last week though it was an open secret that he was leaving for the past couple months...some knew in the summer that he was leaving.

His departure wasn't announced to paid subscribers...someone started a thread asking where Doug was and that's how most were notified. (From what I understand).

To date, I don't know if there's been an "official" announcement of his departure...

    "However"

In Kim's very next article, he said "farewell" to a guy leaving Main Events and there was no mention of Doug.

An industry-wide press release was sent out by The Golden Ring a couple of weeks ago, discussing the revamping of their site, and listing Dougie among their list of notable staff writers.

QWERTY doesn't write FOR anyone. A website or publication willingly provides their services TO him. :nono:
