WBC opens Mosley probe! Tuesday, December 16 2008 The WBC may fine or DQ Sugar Shane Mosley after court documents revealed that Mosley testified that he injected himself with the performance enhancing substance EPO before his second fight with Oscar De La Hoya in 2003. Mosley seized both the WBC and WBA super middleweight titles held by De La Hoya in that bout. "It was a real surprise to read that Mosley has confessed that he did take those medicines, those drugs that are totally prohibited by the WBC," WBC president Jose Sulaiman told the NY Daily News. "The WBC rules state that we must have a hearing. This is a matter of serious concern to us." The WBC legal counsel is currently gathering evidence on Mosley to present to the WBC Board of Governors. Shane is scheduled to challenge WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito on January 24th. Personally I always thought Oscar won anyway, and this would be fixing a bad decision.
It should not be overturned, but ruled a no contest. Of course we are not talking about John Ruiz here, but the Golden Boy, so it might go into the recordbooks as De La Hoya TKO1 Mosley.
I thought Oscar won 8 rounds most of them early and Shane came on late. If taking EPO it could be the reason. At the same time, Shane may have been in close to the same condition without the epo, but just taking it causes a big problem for him and he is not being secretive about it, because he knows they already have balcos records.
I thought Mosley won, but if he cheated then that fight never happened as far as I'm concerned. Meaning, Oscar defended his 154 pound crown vs Mayorga and....lost it to Mayweather. opcorn:
It's unpatriotic to do this,.. whats the fucking problem?.. A few ambitious elite people got together and made a tonne of money, if there is a little corruption here and there it just adds a little spice to the flavour, fuck this communist probing, let it fucking ride for god's sake and for god's people,.. ok then what?.. we have this probing tentacle into every piece of large money making manouver ever made in the great land of oppurtunity? shall we stringently scan all our big buisinesses for corruption??... how the fuck will the special people, the gifted people in this world, ever get ahead then??...and then what?.. we all wont have employers, no work, we'll all starve to death,... Don't bite the hand that feeds you, is what I say.
That is a fucked up way of seeing things, why do you think all those Olympic Athletes were stripped of their medals?
You will get nowhere masquerading behind 'purity' in this world,... most of the time, you really have to do alot of so called 'bad' things, for the greater good, the world is grey, but liberal communists will have you believe that you can win in life by being good little boys and girls, the reason why the communist system MUST be manipulated is because successful people, simply know better,...you cannot argue with the fact that we built the greatest super power the world has ever seen, there is no better defence force, we are p4p best, so what are you complaining about, you degenerate utter, utter, hippy bastard :nono:.
DQ? Never heard of that before. As stated above, the correct result is a No Contest. I hate performance enhancing drugs above the level of caffeine. With a passion. Mosley should get suspended now; that's the appropriate penalty along with the NC and I suppose a fine, too.
Mosley shouldn't be held to a higher standard than other fights, so a NC is more appropriate than a DQ. It makes the title thing kind of weird though. Mosley won two title belts from DLH in that fight, and lost them to Wright. If it's a no-contest then Mosley never gets those belts...what about Wright's belts that he won from Shane?
If it's changed to anything it will be a NC. I have never seen a decision reversed unless it was a case of idiots not knowing how to add up a score card correctly. No way in hell will they call it a win for Oscar. Regardless of what mosley was on, I thought he lost anyway.
I doubt steroids helped Mosley much. They should have opened an enquiry into the corrupt judging the very night of the fight though.
why. everyone knows ODH won the fight anyways. even in spite of the dope. that's what's hilarious. it'd be one thing if Mosley actually won the fight.
Agreed. The influence of performance enhancers is a myth. Most athletes take them, because they are cheap, nice looking and taste good. :bangh:
And because Oscar never received the benefit of the doubt in close decisions, then he is entitled to special treatment above everybody else. Oh well. He was given a beating at the hands of Pacquiao and I couldn't be happier.:mj::mj::mj:
