When is this guy going to get to fight a big fight. I think he's an amazing talent. http://globalnation.inquirer.net/ce.../20081222-179410/Valero-I-would-KO-Oscar-in-3
Have his medical issues been cleared up completely? I read that he was granted a license in one state, but then afterward i heard that it wasn't actually finalized. It will be hard for him to get big fights that aren't in the U.S.
You figure he should be screaming for a fight with Diaz then. A guy with his record of first round knockouts alone should get him some attention. I really don't know what the case is. Doug Fischer used to write a lot about him, maybe he knows what's going on with Valero.
Valero has a fight coming up i think February or March. He was recently in the Phillipines for Pacs birthday.
How about his stable mate in Japan Jorge Linares? This guy is world class too why doesnt he get more play?
exactly! If anything Valero's tittle fight with Mosquera is more impressive than Linares' who kod a shot Larios. I like Linares too and wished both him and Valero would fight better competition.
He sure is, and mark my words this guy is going to run right into "The Big Wipe Out" in the future the first time he fights someone that can punch and knows what they are doing in there.
Thats what you said about Pac. Although I agree that Valero needs to tuck his chin better. His reflexes allow him to avoid getting hit though, kind of like Hamed in a way.
I didn't say that exactly, I pointed out the multiple mistakes Manny made, but I have since called him the most improved fighter in the sport, and in fact have spoken with Freddie Roach in person on that subject. Hamed could have been a great fighter, but blew his chances with his insolent attitude towards everyone, and his refusal to train properly or to heed the advice of his trainers, and he had a great one in Steward, and a competent one in Suarez. Valero will never have the opportunity to even warrant being considered for greatness.
I'm a big time hamed hater but Hamed had much better reflexes than valero, and was significantly quicker. Valero is fucking slow for his weight class, with slow arse telegraphed punches, and average footspeed. Valero is like the 130 pound Frock with more power.
i guess this would mean that he's not signing w/ golden boy anytime soon. i wonder if arum take him considering the guy only has a license in one state. i'm sure he'd get a license in tennesee or kansas.
