If Haye can pull a Sam Peter and knock Wlad down a few times, he can prolong his career even if he gets KTFO. Wlad is due to be knocked down if not out soon. That was not going to happen with Vitaly and a KO loss would have really derailed his career as a heavy before it started.
I am rooting for Haye to beat both Klitchkos. As good as they both are they are fucking boring to watch. I think Haye has enough to beat both of them.
does anyone give gomez a chance? he was dominant as a cuiserweight but has he done much as a heavy-weight? how tall is he? p.s. it's a shame gomez and jirov never fought at 190.
same here but i just noticed on boxrec that he was ko'd by yanqui diaz of all people in round 2. that suggests his chances are slight, and he's only 6' 3". but he's better off in a fencing match than standing up to (or not) Wladmir's power.
It was round 1. I'll still be rooting for Gomez as Vitali could very well be looking past him since the Haye issue came up. Gomez is past his best though. And Gomez is to face Vitali, with Haye facing Wlad.
It's going to be funny,.. WOW HOORAY! HAYE VS WLAD IS ON!!... .. there will be a massive, massive, tense build up,.. Wlad's got a glass chin! Wlad's got a glass chin! Wlad's got a glass chin!,.. hey remember everyone, Wlad's got a glass chin!,.. David Haye has power, he has power, power, power, fast hands and power!!... 4 Jolting Wlad jabs and one right hand later, and it ends abruptly in round 2, then we all cry about the state of the division,.. Povetkin, who is durable, skillful and highly active with an extensive and glamorous amatuer pedigree, is next in line for Wlad,.. but we say.... blaaahh... who cares. Then we say Vitali is a boring heavyweight to watch,.. but in the same sentence harp back to the 'golden', 'exciting' days watching Mohammed Ali throwing a 1,2 clinch, ...........over and.......over, and over.... again..
Gomez is a good fight for Vitaly, Vitaly should win but Gomez, if he lose the beer belly he,s been carrying the last few years, is very live
I thought skipping Gomez would be a slap in the face to the WBC who let Vitali come back and fight for the belt. I am glad he is doing what he should.
fuck the Klitchkos. I think they are very talented but not watchable. especially Wlad who is the most talented but fights like a midget with no power. I hope Haye kos both of them.
I dont understand how Vitali is not watchable, Wlad on the otherhand?.. the clinching to make up for the lack of skill in counter-punching and inside fighting is horrenderous and illegal, it's irritating, yes.. but that deadly piston jab of his, and his frequent knockouts, surely have to place him above illegal, boring, felons...... who errr.... happen to be America's very favourite fighters... Bernard Hopkins and Fraud Mayweather?,...constant, chronic, criminal implimentations, back peddling sprinters, who's KO ratio is piss poor, especially in comparison to the Klitschko's.. yet these two are celebrated and virtually put on a pedastel, you can't rank anyone else on a 'p4p list' without waiting to see whats going on with them first,...with that in mind,.. you really have to wonder,.. .... why do people....really ...hate the Klitschko's so much? why do we have to get rid of them so very desperately?, that is the notion on most american websites.. In your case, as if you have ever been interested in fighters above middleweight,.. you're strictly an El Salvadorian midget-luster who adopts Mexican fighters :crafty: ,..I know you really couldnt care less about anything at heavyweight, and dont know why you even bothered to post that.
gomez is better than peter, but is unproven against a top heavyweight. he's certainly more than formidable at beating these lower top 10 guys, and in reality, he's the most skilled heavyweight in the world. i hope he outboxes vitali.
Gomez has skills, but at his age, and the weight he's been carrying, I'm not sure. This fight could be ugly to watch.
