i am looking forward to seeing some odds on this fight......Barrera went 12 rounds with Manny the last time we saw him in a proper fight....he lost wide, but he didn't embarass himself.......there is little indication that his skills have waned to the severe degree that they would have to in order for me to believe Kahn will win.....

Khan will have to use his speed and reach advantages to maintain distance, and try and box Barrera, very cautiously from the outside from start to finish.......Barrera is a professional, and will see this as a big opportunity to secure one last title fight.......i think he knocks Khan out somewhere in the middle rounds.....Barrera should work to the body, where Khan which is about as vulnerable as his chin

Juarez is a one shot plodder. Khan's skillset is top notch.
If a little guy like Juarez can have any success against Barrera, Khan will have a lot.
    Khan KO6.
"Khan was just too big." "Marco was shot." "Khan has improved." "In his prime, Barrera would have killed him." "No one saw this coming."...and so on.

This a weird fight that came out of nowhere.

I really didn't want to see Barrera fight again because he is no longer watchable. But the fact that Khan's carreer is in jeopardy this early makes it interesting.

Khan is to big and he is favored as well. He's shit whether he wins or not. Although this is typical of Khan to fight smaller guys. Even more so now after getting KTFO by Prescott.

 exactly. Barrera could be 50 years old and still school this clown.

For someone who follows boxing quite closely, and is a proper fan, sometimes you do talk some absolute shit mIKE, and have severely skewed views.

Khan's skillset is not top notch, in fact he is still a very basic, in-out-straight-line amateur fighter.

He has no real skill to speak of, or any tricks up his sleeve.

If Marco is anything less than totally shot, he should dominate and out-think Khan with ease. Khan is predictable, Barrera isn't.

Khan is taking a huge risk, The MAB that fought Manny was not that bad and Marco can take a punch. Amir will not be facing a punch bag. If he cannot get an early KO I can see another L for team Khan.

Actually I think that was the most embarrassing fight of his career. Sure he didn't get stopped or take a shit kicking, but he didn't even try and win. It was pretty pathetic.

he didn't put every effort into winning the fight, but he was by no means disgraced, nor did he look a completely shot fighter......this wasn't Calzaghe-Jones is the point i'm making

No, he just made a habit out of putting out a soft jab that continually landed short...and seemed to back up and/or cover up just about every time Manny came forward.

There was almost no intensity from him. Perhaps that was just from discouragement from the first meeting.

I find this fight and location interesting.

Liverpool and Manchester play in Manchester that day...can't imagine anyone would give a shit about Khan in light of how well his first headlining PPV fight went.

On Setanta TV this evening they said no venue has been decided on.... and if the football is on I would highly doubt the fight will take place in Manchester.

    NEC or the O2

For sure, I don't think the Police could handle or allow the two events...and the football will not be moved..

I really don't think you can beat Mario Kindelan and be a very basic anything.

Imo, Khan has everything but a chin, not unlike Herbie Hide. I think he'll be able to keep Barrera from finding his chin and I doubt Barrera hits hard enough at 135 to end it when he gets through.

And since valdosta informed me that Khan is favored, I don't know why my view on this fight is particularly skewed?

Probably not with one shot, but multiple blows is a different story.

It's not you pickign Khan that's skewed, it's you thinking he is a skilled fighter. He isn't.

And Mario was paid to lose.

the worst thing about kahn, putting aside his terrible amateur style and china chin, is his brain. the guy is thick is pig shit. sometimes when i hear him talk i assume he has a learning difficulty, he probably does.

i seriously doubt this little shit could outthink a goldfish.

Indeed. That's a big turn off to me too. The guy seriously has the IQ of a fencepost.

    Seriously? Wow...

Khan is very good going forward, but it's not just his chin which is poor; his chin weakness is exaccerbated by his horrific (and persistant) habit of coming and going in straight lines with his left hand by his waist. Why would a guy with a china beard leave his left hand so low?

Khan's best hope is that MAB is too old and slow to hit him, because, naturally smaller fighter or not, if MAB hit's Khan, even once, Khan will be toast.
