Supposedly thats whats gon happen. With Cory Spinks vs Deandre Lattimore as the undercard. I was hoping Taylor-Froch came off, but I cant complain much about Taylor-Green. At least Green is better than a shot Lacy, though I cant see him beating Taylor.
Decent fight. The logical thought is Taylor by decision. It will be interesting to see how Green does.
It is not a bad fight....but Taylor winning, no matter how impressively, isnt gonna send any shockwaves round the division.....they are looking to ease him in, maybe they feel he has confidence issues......i just think Di bella and co are showing very little faith in their fighter The Froch fight was there, that would have been the exciting one to take, and logical in some respects as Froch holds a world title that should Taylor attain, would get everyone's bloody pumping for a Kessler unification
It's a possibility and I hope to see it happen for Allen, but after that EGG he laid against Miranda, I don't know if he has what it takes mentally.
I dont think Dibella wanted to run the risk of JT losing to a mediocre guy like Froch. I think he's biding his time, but will eventually cash Jermain out, either against Kessler, or maybe Dawson.
He can MATCH or Even OUTJab Jermain...He's a Better PUNCHER than Jermain...Honestly, REED Thinks Green is Slightly BETTER than Jermain @ just about Everything AND he's a Naturally BIGGER Man... REED:mj:
Taylor has a better chin, jab, and is faster. Green has a bigger punch, thats about it. But we'll see.
This is DEFINITELY a Make or Break Fight for Green, on the World Class Level...Considering how Pavlik & Abraham WAXED Miranda, it Definitely DOESN'T look Good that Green was Nearly KO'ed by & LOST to Miranda... REED:kidcool:
Better Chin & Faster HANDS, but NEITHER of them have Quick Footwork, which Means Jermain will ALWAYS B in Punching Range... Jermain has a Good Jab Against SHORTER Guys... But like U Said, we'll See...It's NOT like REED is Willing to Bet the House on Green or Anything.... REED:hammert:
I'll add another to the list... Taylor has more heart as well. But I'd never bet my house on Taylor, he's not the type of fighter you can make a totally confident pick on.
Green needs to bring his a game and stop looking down at his feet during the fight. I'll be rooting for Green.
Well my dear uncle Tom's, what have we here,..?.. one 'Allan Green' I believe,... whoops actually... this is a mismatch,..Taylor will infact knock him out,..not lose, but knock him out instead. Now is this a more difficult fight for Taylor than Froch?... it's a good question, Im not sure it matters though, Taylor wins against either, 2 - zip,.. Taylor's a 2 - zip specialist,.. ask Hopkins,.. Taylor wasn't stupid enough to walk straight in to Hopkins head off the ropes, I looooove the way Taylor spoiled the worst spoiler boxing has ever seen,... hovered juuuust out of range, and fucked him up with his handspeed, and now he's back to his Hopkins-busting best, you'll see.
He's also more awkward and elusive then Green. A much harder target to hit. Still, I think it's an interesting matchup.
Taylor's Awkward, but NOT N a Good Way...He's NOT Terribly Elusive Either...Taylor Should & WILL B Favored, but Green's as LIVE as a "Live" Underdog can B.... REED:mj:
as much as you joke about it, that fight is actually a big crosstown rivalry. It could turn out to be a lot better than most people suspect and - more important to the promotion, of course - should sell very well. DiBella can talk all he wants about Taylor bringing a crowd with the trip being a straight shot for Little Rock travelers; he won't factor at all into the crowd. They wouldn't travel five hours for a fight with Jeff Lacy, or even two hours for a fight w/ Cory Spinks. Why would they go six hours and change for a fight w/ Allan "Who?" Green?
Actually, that fight might not be too bad. It might ressemble the first Spinks-Judah fight, which was a pretty good fight. I think if Spinks still has stuff left in the tank, he'll outbox Lattimore.
I don't think Green has much of a chance. He's not the naturallly bigger fighter. They're both pretty much on the same level in that regards, despite the fact that Green has been one division higher for most of his career. Taylor killed himself to make 160. Green says he could make 160, but doesn't want to deal with being drained. Green's got a bad chin. Green has no brain. Green hasn't shown much heart. I don't think Green's jab is better than Taylor's. Green has more power. That's about it for Green. Spinks vs. Latimore is where it's at. I'm looking forward to that one.
Yeah Green does have a bad chin. If Taylor cant stop Green, he might not stop anyone else in his career.
Green's DEFINITELY BIGGER Naturally, Arben...He's TALLER & has Fought as High as CRUSIER...REED has Seen Green Walking Around N the 200lb Range & Dude WASN'T Fat @ that Weight...He Can Make Lower Weights Because he's a Vegetarian... Green's DEFINITELY Bigger & STRONGER than Taylor...& Again, Jermain's Jab Looks Decent Against SHORTER Guys...REED's Probably Coming Across as an Allan Green SHILL, but this is a 50/50 Fight N REED's Opinion... REED:kidcool:
well, green's never been stopped. miranda hits harder than taylor and he couldnt stop him either (although had it been a twelve rounder, he may have).
