He said Oscar dela Hoya, Bernard Hopkins, Sugar Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito and even Pacquiao are all great fighters. But he said no one comes close to the boxer they call “Pretty Boy.â€
“Everybody’s beating everybody but there ain’t nobody who beat Floyd Mayweather (undefeated in 39 pro fights). And there ain’t anybody to leave the sport on top and undefeated. I don’t care who’s your name,†he said.
Even in retirement, he’s being paired with Pacquiao, and many are hoping by year’s end they will figure in a rare battle between two pound-for-pound champions.
Mayweather said he’s not interested – at least for now.
“If I sit down with my family, my mother and in my prayers God says it’s time to come back then I’ll come back. But as of right now I’m not looking,†he said.
“I’m sitting well over $300 million so it’s obvious I’m not doing it for the money. You know someday we have to pass the throne and right now if Manny Pacquiao is the guy who has (it) then congratulations. I wish him nothing but the best.
“But right now my main focus is my kids, and me outside of boxing, and making hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars… just being smart and being an entrepreneur,†Mayweather said.

What a cunt! Leaving the sport undefeated makes you a f*ckin' legend and on top? Look at the names this f*cker beat? Jeez, why can't anybody see him for what he is?
Shot Oscar....went life and death and barely edged it out in a piece of sh*t boring fight.
Beat up a little white trashtalking Hatton who didn't do sh*t at 147 the last time he made a trek up there against Collazo.
Skipped Margarito to fight a f*ckin' bum in Baldomir who had like 10 losses and a 15% KO ratio and they marketed this sh*t on PPV!
Fought that other bum Judah who lost to Baldomir and again they marketed this sh*t on PPV.
Beat a shot Sharmba Mitchell. Beat a shot punching bag Arturo Gatti?
    Pathetic REED!
This f*cker calls himself a legend and disrespects the likes of Roy, Leonard, and Bernard?
F*cking hell! How can you like this guy??????? :dunno:
Wake the f*ck up already!!! He's a f*ckin' farce! He has no legacy whatsoever! He's bitch and a ducker! Never fought no wars! The real warriors are guys like Holyfield, Ali, Hagler, Hearns, etc. This dipsh*t talking down on them like that?
And the motherf*cker is already near dead broke?:laughing:

Nice Joe. When you ain't got no retort, just play the 'trolling' card. You got no material to back up your boy's farce of a legacy, Joe?

Translation: I'm almost broke, so I'll fight him after the Hatton fight. Hopefully Hatton will beat him and we can have a rematch. Hatton isn't much of a threat.

    dsimon writes;

thats right Taji read it and weep! the best has spoken now the rest can have the scraps... I guess Floyd ain't so broke that he can't listen to the lord and tell it like it is... there ain't no boxer like em undefeated!! and still pretty as the day is long.

FAce it Floyd is rich good lookin smart and an "entrepeneur" and you can hardly get a resume out! It might be a while before he is broke:dunno:

Roy Bernard leaonard? mere footnotes baby. You want Floyd to fight you better talk to Joe nicely and ask him to ask the lord to ask Mayweather... nicely.

Foyd said he has 300 mil so he is not broke, besides the guy is hall of fame and he is retired early. He is fine not fighting anymore.

I wish he would come back and fight and it would be a letdown if he doesn't given the excitement in the division. It is hard to anyone who can walk away from boxing without serious injury and that type of cash. More power to him either way.

I didn't see too much wrong with what he said. Sounded like floyd Mayweather to me. He doesn't need to lie to make himself seem the best; he already was.

FLOYD HAS BEEN P4P #1 SINCE ROY LOST YEARS AGO AND HE RETIRED ON TOP. IT'S HARD TO SEE SOMEONE RETIRE AT HIS BEST, BUT THAT IS WHAT FLOYD DID. HOW MUCH GREATER WOULD ALI BE IF HE RITIRED AFTER BEATIN FRASIER OR FOREMAN?

Floyd can boast all he wants about his undefeated record.

But his resume isn't half the resume's of Oscar, Mosley or Manny.

Now I can see him beating all three. However, THEIR lists of accomplishments are far more impressive than Floyd's is. Their level of competition blows Floyd's comp in the absolute dirt.

I wonder who's more worried about losing their undefeated record...Mayweather or Calzaghe.

I do believe Fraud is a better fighter than Hopkins,.. who till this day, like his entire career,.. is having a ''Fraud at 130'' of a time against distinctively smaller opponents. I never understood how Hopkins has always, always got away with this shit,..yet everyone jumped up and down screaming about it when Jermaine began to do the same thing.... wtf..?

He believes the earth is only a few thousand years old. I would advise getting some corroboration before accepting what he told you about this "mayweather" character.

Roy & B-Hop both rank above him & he & Oscar are NECK & NECK, historically. That repellent little fuckwit man-child's main legacy will be retiring as the most universally reviled sportsman of the 21st century so far.

Bullshit! This win DEFINITELY puts him ahead of Hoya all time! Hoya has NEVER beaten a fighter the calibre of Marg as easily as Shane did. Theres a reason why Oscar wanted to fight lil Manny, instead of Marg.

Mosley was better, and greater than Oscar.

Disagree. I'd have Oscar slightly above Shane. But I make my evaluations based on MY score cards. And I had Oscar beating Tito & Mosley in the rematch and edging all his contentious fights other than Sturm. Tito, Vargas, Mosley, Quartey, Whitaker, Chavez, Carr, Leije etc is a damn good resume close fights or not, better than Shane's & as I said, very closely matched with Floyd's.

As for Floyd & Oscar's fight, I saw enough in that to suspect a prime old Oscar beats a prime Floyd and that's as significant in my weighting of them historically as Floyd getting the W against the 34 y/o version of Oscar.

I agree on all accounts. Mosley vs. Pernell would have been a good one back then...
