Maxboxing's a good one,.. I've visited that site three times, and have recieved three permanent bans, Eaner has to keep unbuckling the dogflap for me whenever fightbeat's servers shut down, the first was for apparently using the finger waving emoticon ':nono:' too much, the second was for hatin' on Hops, and the third was because I assume? that I stuck up for a European fighter?... not quite sure,.. and yet I STILL have the nerve, to whinge about Fightbeat's policies sometimes, even though it's probably the most liberal of aaaaalllll the boxing messageboards.

I got banned from there too after 7 years for talking about God. It never got personal or vulgar either. I met and hung out with posters there for a few years while I was in Vegas.

 

To me, this is just common sense. Anyone who dismisses this is either a Marge fan or simply being dishonest to themselves. This is how human nature works. It's like the guy who got a DUI coming home from the neighborhood pub he's at every night. Does anyone with any sense believe that was the ONLY time he drove drunk? That he was so unlucky that the one time he got in the car over the limit, he got stopped?

It's human nature - the one time you get caught is just the tip of the iceberg. The other factors - like the fact the Marge's punches didn't seem to phase Shane at all, the fact that Marge busted Cotto up so unusually bloody - they just help corroborate what everyone already knows.

Let's pursue 30 seconds of common sense for those here with less "horsepower" upstairs. If you are Margarito - and it's fight night, probably on one of the 3 biggest fights of your life, do you for the FIRST TIME ever allow someone to put plaster chips in your wraps? Tell me - how would you know that it wouldn't SCREW UP the way the gloves feel? That it wouldn't slide as the fight wore on and become a detriment? That it wouldn't crack and become a problem? How could you possibly know that it wouldn't cause more problems than advantage?

If you're a fighter confident in your ability - why would you even take the risk trying this out for the FIRST TIME in such a big fight?

You wouldn't. That's not how human nature works. Marge & camp did this because they had done it BEFORE. Because they knew exactly how it worked & exactly how to try and get away with it and conceal it. And Mr. Margarito sure as hell didn't OBJECT when he felt those familiar blocks in his wraps, because he had felt that BEFORE.

And this puke about how it's only so-and-so who are saying this, so it's not true - wake up, please. Marge's camp already admitted that they "pre-made" his wraps, which is already dubious. Plus you have people from the California athletic commission saying this they witnessed this, you have Mosley's trainer recounting it in great detail, and now you have the CSAC openly saying it was a foreign object, suspending Margarito, and scheduling a hearing?? Do they do all that just because G says so?

Boxing fans need to flush Marge at this point, and throw him overboard like Jonah. He's bad for boxing.

Your 3rd Paragraph is a Point that even REED HADN'T Considered...There's NOfuckingWAY Margarito "Tested" the Wet Pad for the 1st Time Against Cotto OR Shane...He's Been Doing that PRIOR to then...Probably Since the Lujan Fight, when he Almost LITERALLY Knocked Lujan's Ear from the Side of his Head...

That's interesting - as a speculatory exercise does anyone think they noticed a point in marg's career when he started to become a more menacing puncher? or inflicted more damage late or over the course of a fight on his opponents? when i saw him fight Sergio Garbriel Martinez, Marg never looked to be world class to me, certainly didn't look like the monster he became later on in his career
