I have a feeling this is going to be a war and a real fun fight to watch. http://www.nwanews.com/adg/Sports/251425/
The entertainment value of this fight will be high anywhere it takes place. It would obviously be bigger in Europe but maybe Froch wants exposure in the U.S and what better way to get it then to come here and defeat Taylor on HBO?
great news....i am picking Taylor but Froch is very live ....and hopefully the winner can go on to meet Kessler
Huge props to Taylor, Froch and Showtime. Say what you want about Taylor´s abilities as a fighter, but without him boxing would be in much worse shape. Ever since Hopkins I, he did whatever was asked from him. Unfortunately HBO didn´t understand what they had in Taylor, because he looked vulnerable, something HBO isn´t used to with their creative mismatching. Yes it probably will be an entertaining fight, which tends to happen if you put a world title up for grabs between two talented fighters in their prime.
nobody here either. froch's celebrity can in no way be compared to that of hatton, slappy, or even amir khan't.
No great surprise is this; Froch was on ITV a few weeks ago swearing blind that the fight was going to happen and so it comes to pass. This is a HUGE fight for Froch; a massive step up from anything he has even dreamed of fighting thus far and a career make or break fight for him. Either Taylor, an elite MW despite what his detractors like to say, will either prove that Froch is the farmer that some claim he is and take him systematically apart or Froch will step up to the mark and announce himself as somewhere near as good as he evidently believes that he is. Taylor is declined and relatively unproven at SMW, which (more than anything Froch brings to the party IMHO) makes Froch a live dog here, but the logical pick is Taylor by decision or perhaps a late stoppage if he has enough pop to take advantage of Froch's appalling defence. Should be good, though- if nothing else, Froch usually comes to fight MTF
The only place Froch pulls in plenty of punters is Nottingham, and the fight sure as hell isn't gonna be held there... MTF
It is a huge fight for Froch but i wouldn't consider it "make or break" for him. Although he's not exactly young, the 168 pound division is pretty deep and this will be the first time he gets big American exposure. He doesn't have to win, just make it entertaining and don't get blown out. He'll have more opportunities.
Jermaine is back to his best,.. and I love this fight, absolutely adore it, not because it's competitive, because it isnt, but due to the fact that it's Taylor's time to shine, and what he'll have infront of him, is a useless punching bag who's only weapon is a 'Hopkins-like'... 'creep back and walk the fight-maker into your shot' tactic,.. with his hail mary uppercut,..that's his one strategy amongst a whoooole lotta nuthin'... it's a tactic that Jermaine knows how to avoid, as he prevailed over the king of shit, twice. After that, the only thing left for Jermaine to do is pop the face if he likes.
There's not much you can do if your caught by the perfect shot to an organ which drains your functioning like a ghost,.. Margarito reminded me of Wlad at the end of his first fight with Lamon Brewster,.. I think Lamon might've caught Wlad in the same spot somewhere to the body that just utterly weakenned his sytem, perhaps the pancrease.
I think JT will win, but I think Froch is gonna be more competitve than you think. Not cause he's anything special, but because JT isnt anything special. Taylor by 8-4 decision.
Jermaine IS something special,.. he's just not criminal enough, narccistic enough, and undefeated enough for you,.. :crafty: ... Jermaine has good hands, real quick hands, and underrated power,.. could you imagine if Taylor channelled his athletacism from corner to corner, and launched himself with a pot-shot / headbutt / clinch combination off the ropes?.. ..I tellya what, Jermaine's not undefeated, because in a way, he CHOOSES not to be undefeated, through fighting anyone and everyone, and keeping it legal. As for Froch,..Taylor's going to teach him some manners, it's amazing, Jermaine is from America and he's going to teach manners, it's true,.. with his humble, polite fists and placid demeanor, Jermaine full of pride, will tutor his brother, how a white boxer should conduct himself inside and outside of the ring.
The Floyd obsession continues.:notallthere: You know you're about as one dimensional as your hero, Fraudacheata. BTW - Floyd has more talent in one of his ball hairs than Taylor has in his whole body. If he tried to do the things Floyd does he'd be KTFO, cause he's not GOOD enough.
Wrong :: you're paranoid,..you've mis-timed this one, I didn't reference Floyd AT ALL,..?? at all!!!?.. not even in 'description',.. you filled Floyd into that gap YOURSELF!,.. I was speaking about HOPKINS but you are right,.. they are a bit similar,..only Fraud concerntrates all his illegal impliments into his defence only, which classifies him as a 'bitch-fighter'.. where as Hopkins ENTIRE game, relies on exploitation of the rules,..which makes him a 'coward-fighter' the very worst of them all.
'But Hopkins isn't undefeated you SIMP'. Sooothing,...........Thank you Xplosive,.. you know,.. not alot of people want to accept that.
There's not much you can do when you're being punched with haymakers ever 1.5 seconds and you can't do nothing about it because you have no fucking skills. Besides, it must have hurt Plasterito's confidence he didn't have his usual "ally" for this fight. You bet he was thinking in there "Fuck, how am I gonna hurt this guy now!?". But hey, Plasterito is a credit to the sport! A beast that can't be denied! A role model for boxers! :bears:
Margarito's been punched with haymakers to the head for his entire career,.. the fact that he couldn't keep his arms up, and looked unusually pale suggested an organ had been irritated, curtesy of a deep Mosely body-bust. 'But hey, Plasterito is a credit to the sport! A beast that can't be denied! A role model for boxers! :bears:' As I said to 'most' Fraud groupies,.. why didnt you inform the board that he'd been rigging his hands earlier?... I dont try and 'spin' my favourite fighters out of the disgraceful truth if there is one, if he's guilty he's guilty, and should be dealt with seriously.
