So you're saying his strategy wasn't working but he didn't make adjustments (that could turn the fight around)?

Don't you have a boyfriend you could be asking for attention from? Stop using me as an emotional crutch. Thanks.

    Finally, someone who knows boxing.

Everyone else on this forum must be brand new.

I'm using you as an emotional crutch?

    I'm talking about boxing.

You're the one using this forum to alternate between giving yourself and Manny Pacquiao written fellatio.

    I don't know man.

You're asking me these really simple questions, and I gave you more credit than that, but I guess I was wrong to assume.

Do you need financial, and dating advice too? I'm really good at that.

Your first response in this thread was to point out Marquez was losing this fight before the knockout.

I was just seeing if that's something you also do after Pacquiao fights.

I ask because I don't give you more credit than that.

You're keep asking me questions about what I think of you.

Are you trying to find out if I'm interested in you?

Is this how you operate at 24 Hour?

I don't give a shit about you, and would prefer you went back into your hole until after the results of Pac's next fight, like you usually do, so I don't have to read your posts in any more boxing threads.

But since you insist on polluting every thread Marquez thread, I figured I'd at least see whether you can be objective when discussing him and/or Pacquiao.

How predictable that Alabama would have an opinion about Marquez that is wholly based upon Pacquio! That brings nut sucking to a new level imo!

I think Neil is right in this case.... One has to understand the sport to truly understand how good marquez is and let me say this because it needs to be said:

The Diaz fight is irrelevant. Most Marquez fans knew how good Marquez was before the fight and he did what was expected in that regard.

I didn't bring up Pacquiao in this thread, someone did way before me.

But since we're on the subject, Pacquiao stopped had a lot less problems with Oscar Dela Hoya than Marquez did with Juan Diaz. :hump:

He won the fight because he adapted by timing the uppercut that had some success earlier, that is what won him this fight.

My sister could have whupped De La Hoya that night. Pacquiao fights a complete can that hasn't fought as a welterweight in ages and that's better than stopping a guy in his prime.

Marquez has already schooled the pony twice. I can't wait for the 3rd fight where Marquez will finally KO this fucking bum and we will get rid of all of these stupid flips who know shit about boxing.

    ......

Beating Oscar De La Hoya is better than beating Juan Diaz. Period. That guy even took a beating from Nate Campbell. So what if he's in his prime, he's not that great. Diaz is a good but limited fighter, nothing more or less.

Agreed. Plus Marquez was favored over Diaz.

How many HONESTLY believed Manny had a prayer against Oscar? I certainly didnt think so.

Whether the Marquez fans like it or not... Pac is the P4P. And whether the Marquez fans like it or not, Marquez has yet to beat Pac.

And best believe that Manny would have sent the Baby Cow to the nearest hospital.

Yeah, but I use that for my inside body work. I'm a much better body puncher than Chavez! I slip your jab, and work on the inside. I can be 3" away from your body and still hit you with my straight right!

It was impressive only in that Manny went up in weight, but he was facing a man who was a shell of himself. It was obviously De La Hoya lost to much weight and was a ghost in there.

But I'll give Manny P4p and Marquez #2 only because Marquez has never beaten Pacquiao "officially". But everyone who saw their rematch knows that Marquez beat Pacquiao and just didn't get the decision. In a way it worked out for the better. Marquez went out to KO Casamayor and Juan Diaz to prove he's the best and should get another crack at Pacquiao. Plus, now everyone actually wants to see it even more. This is going to be another amazing fight but this time Marquez finishes the pony and claims his spot as the greatest Mexican fighter ever.

Agreed with that... in the final assessment a case HAS to be made that Marquez was the best Mexican fighter of his generation, not Barrera or Morales

I think you should say a case can be made. It's not some kind of fact. JMM beat a past prime MAB in a pretty good fight and never faced Morales at all. JMM got his bigger wins towards the end of his career while Morales and MAB got there's earlier.

I didnt say it was a fact

I said it HAS to be discussable... to me it is not clear that MAB or Morales were definitley better than Marquez
