That's the rules. It's NEVER a TKO from an accidental butt. Only from a punch.

For once the asshole needs to play by the book? A TKO looks much better on the record. :shit::shit:

The announcers showed the replay of the headbutt which looked nasty. Even the doctor and ref mentioned the headbutt when they first looked at the cut.

Those kahn normally raise his had when he gets hurt, or is that a tribute to Pac? I tought Barrera was just too small to win. Difference in speed was the differance.

predictable farce from abysmal khan. against a tiny, old man, blinded from the blood in his eyes, he did nothing but throw insubstantial straight punch flurries. the size differential was comical. and yet after each of his pitty-patt flurries khan jumped back about two metres like he was in there with julian jackson, and not a powerless tired midget.

Khan can't even punch. He landed dozens of FLUSH shots and not only did he not come close to knocking Marco down, Marco's face looks fine.

And Khan is a BIG lightweight bear in mind.

Just as I was typing this, Barrera said in his interview that Khan can't punch.

    lol he did, haha.

we'd never know because kahn would have to plant his feet and that is something he will never do because of that thing on his face he excuses for a chin.

they may as well paint khan's chin red with the words 'PRESS TO DETONATE' printed on it. the only intrigue is how warren's going to keep spinning fights without him getting knocked out. more old featherweights looks like the strategy...

i have to say i thought khan looked good tonight, i know im probably going to get berated "barrera was shot, khan still has no chin etc" but i think amir fought a very good fight and was on the way to a stoppage victory. I do agree that Barrera is nowhere near the fighter he was a few years ago, but Amir was under alot of pressure prior to the fight, if he lost his career was over, he fought smart, he didn't take unnecessary risks, he fought a very professional fight. He's obviously not ready for the likes of Marquez right now, and I know they are talking up a world title shot but they should hold him back a bit, fight some tough fighters like say Katsidis (who i genuinely think he would beat) and give Roach more time to work on him. It's so easy to state negatives and everything, but the guy done what was expected of him and I was impressed. I'm just pissed off it was a TD and i only get 3 points from it in the league lol

Well, and that´s what drives true fight fans insane. German commentary is even worse. At some point you just start to hate the promoter and even the fighters. I can only take so many "Jamie Pittman is a tough undefeated Olympian with sharp boxing skills" or "LaJuan Simon and DeAbron Andreu are tough Philly fighters in the mold of Bernard Hopkins".:doh:

landing some power shots on a tiny old man is what a good fighter would have done.

well we will see what happens in the next few fights, maybe khan doesn't have the power alot of people think he has, but i think it is unfair to say the guy is absolute shit when he didnt really put a foot wrong tonight, so he didnt knock the MAB out, big deal, alot of people didn't think he would win. He passed a good test, I might be shown up to be completely wrong in my assessment of Khan but I think he can do OK. I'll put my neck on the line and say he can have a successful career in boxing and win some big fights, no doubt.

I thought British rules were that even if the cut is from an headbutt, it's a tko if the cut fighter can't continue.

Khan looked good tonight. The English bitches on this site need to tone it down he's only 22 and he fought a disciplined tight fight tonight. Good on him he smacked Barrera around the ring and would have stopped him late if it wasn't for the cut.

Not really surprised, I´m only mad at myself for not betting Afolabi.

I was surprised everybody took Cook, but I forgot to make my predictions. Martinez was even favoured by the bookies, largely due to the five knockdowns Cook suffered against Luevano. He´s a decent boxer, but he can´t take it on the chin. That would have been a good name for the PPV: The Three Chinnies.
