This is a fight Cintron could win. Lets face it Angulo is so easy to hit and Cintron is a monster puncher when he could set his feet. He has no heart but he can crack. If Angulo could take it though he'll break Cintron down and stop him. This fight won't go the distance and will be a barnburner from start to finish.

So Cintron is okay for Angulo but not for Cotto?

Cintro, as usual, will fold against the pressure and will cry like a bitch.

Last time that I checked Cintron was owned by a guy from Argentina. Angulo will eat him alive.

Dangerous fight for El Perro, but in the end... Cintron figures to weep.

Definitely a LOSABLE Fight for Angulo, but if he's as Good as REED THINKS he Is, Angulo will WIN...The Jury's Still OUT on Angulo's Chin (Richar Gutierrez BUZZED him N their Fight), so Cintron will CERTAINLY Provide Answers N that Regard....

    Never seen Angulo fight before.

    He should win though.

two of the more overrated guys in terms of before (and with Cintron apparently after) being exposed.

It would be fun to watch, but I don't think either one of these guys could beat Daniel Santos, ad thats just sad.

    Take Mayorga coming up.

    Now take away the speed

Now take away the amateur background/underlying skills

Now take away the strength, and add 4 gallons of unproven.

    Voila, you have Angulo

Angulo's DEFINITELY More SKILLED than Mayorga...Mayorga's a WINGER & Is OFTEN Off Balance...His CLEANEST Landed Shots R Generally RABBIT Punches...

Angulo's INFINITELY More PRECISE, ACCURATE & COMPACT w/his Punches & his Balance is BETTER...Angulo has a More VARIED Arsenal than Mayorga...MUCH More SEASONED than Mayorga...Mayorga has a Better CHIN & Better HANDSPEED, but those R his ONLY Clear Advantages Over Angulo...

Mayorga put up a good show against Mosley, and this was after taking the beating of all time against Trinidad, and the KO from DLH. Mayorga also beat Forrest 1.5 times.

I've learned that Mayorga does things that don't showup on film. He doesn't give a fuck, is strong as all giddy-up, and does actually hit hard, if and when he does land.

What I've learned from Angulo, is that he may have been runner up on the Contender.

Yes he is accurate with his sloth punches, and does throw better looking stuff than Mayorga. But Id take Mayorga today to beat up Angulo...its really a shame that didn't come off.

Perhaps if Mayorga were as Confident N his Chances of Beating Angulo as YOU Seem to B, he WOULDN'T have BACKED OUT of the Fight...

Wait, are we denying the existence of Mayorga's amateur background?

Or the part where Angulo is garbage?

REED just thinks more highly of Angulo than most. I'm with you on this one though, I don't see it. Angulo obviously isn't a bad figher, but I'm not seeing anything special out of him. I'm not even sure I'd pick him to beat Cintron and Cintron isn't that good.

I think Cintron's power is vastly overrated (and thats something, considering its virtually the only thing he brings to the table)

Teddy Reid's chin is about as good as my 4 year old nephew's and Cintron couldnt miss and it still took him awhile

also, say what we must about Margarito, he didnt have a loaded CHIN, and Cintron's punches had no effect on him

I hope an interviewer asks Cintron if he's decided yet what round to pack it in.

1st of All U Stated Angulo was Mayorga MINUS Certain Elements, Among those "Amatuer Background/Underlying Skills"...If REED's Not Mistaken, Angulo was a 2004 Mexican OLYMPIAN & Quite CLEARLY, he's a MORE SKILLED Fighter than Mayorga...Regardless WHAT Mayorga's Ammy Background is, it DOESN'T Show N Terms of Having MORE Skills than Angulo, as Professionals...

Mayorga is a Ballsy SLUGGER w/Good HANDSPEED...Angulo's a SLOW, Aggressive BOXER w/LEAKY Defense...

U were Right about the "SPEED" & "UNproven" Portions of your Post, but the Ammy Background/Skill Portion was OFFBASE...Again, Angulo is a BETTER SKILLED, Better SCHOOLED Fighter than Mayorga...

& YES, REED Realizes that Skills & Schooling DON'T Always = Championships....

I guess Andre Berto-Juan Urango is the other fight rumored to be on this card.

Collazo must have given Berto a good enough scare. He's fighting Urango? Why not fight someone who is actually in his weight class?

Rematch with Collazo should be happening. Shows how great 2009 is so far that that fight isn't the FOTY so far.

Besides being around the same weight and both are aggressive natured fighters....can someone explain to me what Mayorga and Angulo have in common? They fight nothing alike, nor share the same strengths and weakness'.

we shall see if his crying had anything to do with getting hit by Mr. Brick.

he's trained plenty at Kronk and proved himself; he's not a bitch. Bitches don't make it as far as he has.

and unlike Margarito, Cintron actually has "real" punching power. Too bad he can't stick around at 147 but nobody would fight him there now that the news of Margarito has come to light. They'd enter the ring with visions of Mathysse flat on his face from a straight right/left upper-cut combination.

Not only does Cintron hit harder than Angulo, but he's more skilled and experienced too. I can't see him losing. Angulo is just too raw in my opinion.

Cintron was clearly interested only in lasting the distance in his last fight, and nothing more

and his punch is beyond overrated
