Now that Wlad has resurrected his career and is now the #1 heavy in world (even tho' his brother may have something to say about that), how would he do against Lewis. When Wlad first became a contender, some folks thought he might be able to unseat Lewis and I'm sure nobody did following his 3 stoppage losses. But now that he has reinvented himself as a more cautious fighter and has gotten back on top of the division...has his chances against Lewis increased or decreased. Since Lewis' two losses were in the early rounds, does the old more aggressive Wlad have a better chance against Lewis, or does the current more cautious and measured Wlad?
Earlier I say it would have been an excellent fight, Wlad attacking and Lewis countering. However in that case I can olny see one outcome, which is that at some point Lewis catches him with an overhand right or an uppercut (Wlad didn't have defense for it at close) and blasts Wlad out. Chance for Lewis winning is about 85 % Wlad of now against Lewis would make a horrible fight. Both would throw mainly jabs and stay back. Wlad I think has the better jab (Lewis' was a great one too) so Lewis might be forced to take the role of attacker, although Lewis as the better-coordinated athlete could take the command early too. If Lewis becomes aggressive, it is possible that Wlad lands something big on him, but still I think the most likely outcome (61 %) is that Lewis finds him first.
I think Lewis has abetter chin than he is given credit for. Most heavyweights would have been knocked out by that right hand Rahman landed and Lewis was fat and sated going into that fight, he thought it would be a cakewalk... The McCall KO was a hasty stoppage I thought and Lewis got up... not syaing he had a great chin but it wasnt terrible Personally I think Lewis annihlates Wlad Wlad does not have the chin needed to beat Lewis. At some point Lewis is going to land one of those booming rights and Klitschko can not handle that LEWIS by KO no later than round 4
Lennox Lewis by KO 3.....similar to Lewis vs. Grant...Wladimir won't look as shitty as Grant though. Wlad will look as if he belongs in the ring w/ Lennox Lewis for the first 2 rounds.... Lennox Lewis lands the RIGHT HAND...and Wladimir gets drop...gets up but can't stabilize his legs ref stops the fight...
Both start cautiously (shocking), Lewis tries to outbox Wlad, finds out after a couple of rounds of being out jabbed that he can't, takes the role of aggressor, the fight turns sloppy but exciting-ish, Wlad can't stand the heat and Lewis comes out on top in 5 or 6. Wlad is basically Lewis without the mental toughness or the same ability to focus, IMO.
Very much as I see it:bears: Lewis also had more tricks in his bag and could change is strategy when needed
10 times out of 10. Only way Wlad wins is if Lennox comes in out of shape and not focused. However Lewiswould bring his A game against someone like Klitschko so Wlad wouldn't even have that edge.
agREED and he was wobbling around the ring like a drunk in the round before they stopped it It should also be noted that a fat, lazy Lewis took plenty of big shots from Vitaly and he didnt go anywhere... in fact he began to take over the fight and drill the big guy with right hands
I stand by my statement...and if ya don't quit it, I am going to make it 7 out of 10 times...so watch it buddy!
I don't think so either, i'm just putting forward a scenario where i see it being plausible. Lennox wasn't in the best shape against Vitali, but he was preparing for a completely different opponent. Also Lewis was KO'd twice by straight right hands. Both guys who accomplished it didn't have the reach or power that Wlad does. I would even favor an out of shape Lennox over Wlad Klitschko, but i don't see it as being out of the question that Wlad has a decent chance.
That's not exactly fair. :nono: I have no wiggle room as i'm already maxed out at 10. You could still drop lower.
Lewis wouldn't be able to take the same shots from Wlad though as Wlad is much bigger puncher than his brother who is the better fighter. A guy with Wlad's power and reach always will have a chance, especially if Lewis fights sloppily. Lewis would win 983 out of 1000 but Wlad's chances can't be counted out even though he himself probably would be eventually.
