TFK got me thinking about this with his post in the TUF thread. My number one is Gray Maynard. He is a good guy, and a great wrestler. But he is the king of lay and pray, IMO. The most exciting thing he does is a takedown. Who else?
I guess its a matter of opinion. He will probably get a title shot in the next year or so. I wouldn't put him as a p4p'er, but I would call him eliteopcorn:
Dan henderson is an elite fighter who's fight im not exactly excited to see , although i anticipated his fight against anderson just to see how anderson would do against him. Matt lindland too. , same with randy couture. Rampage is becoming one aswell.
He's not elite, but I can't stand watching Jeff Monson. Has he ever been in an entertaining fight? Some of Royce Gracie's early UFC fights were painful. Just him laying in the guard for 25 minutes doing absolutely nothing, until his opponent finally made a mistake and got caught in a submission. TFK
He's turning into a plodder puncher. Many times he would just wait let his opponent do anything first before he would react. Although that style did well against chuck and wandy, so he's not as unwatchable as the previous three that i mentioned.
Yup werdum isnt exactly exciting , his fight with nog in pride really brought me to sleep. Old school , ken shamrock has an underrated boring style aswell.
