good god, you could only care about this fight if you are a member of one of the fighter's families Dangerous Dan Mouton at 9-3-1???
He KTFO out of Zab's brother Josiah Judah who was 9-0 in one round. He KOed Richard Pierson who was 8-1 He is coming off of back to back wins of Walid Smichet and Jerson Ravelo. A very underrated 9-3 guy
Mouton was supposed to fight Adonis Stevenson for the NABF title in Montreal, but Adonis postponed due to injury. So Mouton took this bout instead and if he beats Stevens, which he should, then he'll be a Deguardia Star boxer for awhile.. Mouton was sparring with James Kirkland recently. He's also sparred locally with Chris Henry (calm down Stinger), Vanes Martirosyan, Marcus Johnson & Raul Marquez. I cammed that Walters debut! Dude came to the ring, and I was like, alright this dude atleast carries himself as a badass, we gonna have a fight.. Of course Mouton had a couple hundred fans there and he was pumped up too. Was over quick.. At the weighin versus Judah's brother, all the Judah group were laughing at Mouton saying he looked like a gorrilla. So when Mouton KO'd his ass, he started to do the gorilla dance in the ring. The two early losses in his career came on DiBella shows. The Frank loss he was outclassed, and badly matched up at that stage. His other loss was to a top prospect Russian was on Versus and was competitive. This should be an explosive fight tho. And sounds like a nice venue! I think Mouton is the better boxer tho, and he covers up well so shouldnt get hit clean by Steven's power. Stevens has shown a lack of adjustment during bouts and if he cant figure out Mouton he's not going to fare well.
I remember him sparring with Chris well Mike, and I recall I wrote mainly complimentary things about him, he told you he didn't like what I wrote, but I have never heard from him, even after I asked you to have him call me and we could iron that out. The last time I brought it up was to Knight at that picnic for Diaz last year when he signed with Golden Boy, and I gave him my card to give to the guy but I never heard back from him. I wish the guy well, as he is a pretty darn good and VERY tough young man which I emphasized in my article on that sparring with Chris, and hope he wins.
