Close fight, Jones's speed would be a major puzzle for Charles to solve, but I think he could do it and he'd be patient... you arent going to beat Ezzard Charles with feints and angles alone... you have to force a hot pace on him, and I dont think Roy would ever fight that way... close, difficult to score fight but Charles wouldnt have been sitting there mesmerized by Jones speed and he would not have been intimidated by his power either... that potshotting wouldnt work on a boxer of his caliber, I think he could counter Roy and force him to abandon that style... the guy had ridiculous timing... Roy early and Ezzard late Charles wins a close decision in a bout between a pair of great fighters
Very well said. Charles arguably the best lightheavyweight fighter there was... I think the fight goes exactly like this. This is just one of those fights in which styles really is an issue here...I would try to say something but honestly u took the words right out of my mouth and made them seem smarter, thanks cdogg.:hammert:
