Has anyone seen a worse undercard than Pacquiao/Hatton's? It's absolutely awful - not even worthy of FSN or Telemundo. It's absolute crap. Man these promoters like to give us the shaft.

Suppose Hatton gets cut in the first round and it's a TD Rd. 1 (both tend to lead with their head and Pacquiao's a southpaw), can you imagine a bigger waste of money?

I'm tempted to wait until the following week to watch it - what's the point? It's not like it will be in the newspaper or on the nightly news? I can stay off this place a week and never know who won and watch the fight for free. Sounds like a plan to me. Fucking promoters.

Almost every major PPV has a shitty undercard. This is nothing new.

I thought Jones-Calzaghe had the worst undercard I've ever seen only to be trumped by De La Hoya - Pacquiao.

It's damn near unviersally accepted that DLH-Pac had the worst undercard ever...save for devout Oscar sword swallowers.

Since you've deep-throated Oscar throughout his entire career, I suspect you've wiped that entire night from your memory.

I'm with you man. These undercard fights are getting worse and worse. The whole card is supposed to be entertaining and competitive not just the main event.

They're getting progressively worse by the year. It's like the people running the sport are actually trying to kill it.

It's a bad undercard, but at least it has good fighters in it.
Korobov was a great amateur and is a terrific prospect.
Soto is decent; Gaudet has a good record; it's for a legit title.
    Jacobs is a legit prospect.
Erislandy Lara is a terrific prospect.

I've seen far worse even if this is weak and not particularly compelling. At least we don't have any guaranteed snorefests.

I think the complaint is the fact these guys are all in non-competitive fights. years from now we might look back and say we saw three future champions on the same card but in terms of right now...they should make quick work of their guys.

REED Won't Get into Whether it's Good or Bad, but REED has ACCEPTED that PPV Undercards R a Vehicle for SHOWCASING Up & Coming Talent...If there's a Host of EARLY KO's Leading Up to the Main Event (Which COULD Happen in Every Bout EXCEPT of the Soto-Guadet Fight), that'll Actually ENTICE the PPV & Live Crowd...

you should pass, but you'll order it. which realistically is a good idea since otherwise that $59.99 will go towards a possible overdose

As bad as I want to see this fight, Im going to look for whatever streams are available

The day I pay 60 fucking dollars to watch something from my own house is the day I start walking around with a T-shirt that says "I love Guidos... Paz and Malinaggi forever!"

I miss the days when undercards contained at least one other compelling matchup... These days seem long gone... I must admit I'm curious to see how Gaudet will fare against Soto, I've been following his career (not so closely) since the olympics. But considering he has no punch and has already been KO'd in one by a bum, I don't have high hopes...

GBP is the worst. Don King use to have fantastic undercards. The night of the rematches was the one of the best on paper. I wanted to see all three of them.

GBP is awful. Too bad Oscar could have another 30 or 40 years, at least King(bad for the last4 -5 years) and Arum will be corpses soon.

That was great but that may as well have been when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

    (approximately 6000 years ago)

Seriously though undercards have sucked for a really long time. Don King was the guy that had female boxers and butterbean sideshows on undercards.

It's not a trend that GBP started. I'm not an insider on boxing finances, but it looks to me the main reason undercards suck is because promoters/fighters take such a large amount of revenue off the top. There aint anything left for undercards. Undercard fighters are usually there because of nepotism.

Don King was responsible for Christy Martin...Arum for Mia St. John (wearing her "Playboy pink") and Butterbean.

Has Arum ever used the "Colonel" Bob Sheridan for his cards?

I really don't know but i can't stand him. I thought butterbean was on cards with Sheridan announcing.

Don't get me wrong, Arum is scum too. I do have to counter the "DK used to have great cards argument" though.

He did, but that was ages ago.
