    Walcott would probably score a knockdown or two with his sneaky right, but otherwise Patterson's big edge in speed and reflexes would dominate the fight. Patterson by decision or possibly late KO with the left hook

    I actually pick Walcott, but this is a fight where if they fought ten times they possibly would win 5 a piece...
    And most likely each of them ending in KO.
    Gooooood matchup, I would have loved to see how this panned out.
    I think Walcott's edge in the chin department wins in for him.

    Agreed completely

    and the fact that Walcott of all people actually DOES have the edge in chin paints a remarkable picture of the fragility of Patterson's beard

    but, what made both of these gents successful was that there was a big difference between knowing that you could hurt them and actually FINDING them to hurt them

    I loved both fighters, but Walcott would have stretched Floyd as he was simply stronger, could take a punch better, and just a better fighter than the great Patterson.
