Not that i've head. Merchant couldn't get an interview with him post-fight because he wasn't feeling well.

    I read this from cnnsi:

"It was a hard loss but I'm OK," Hatton said. "I really didn't see the punch coming but it was a great shot. I know I'll be OK."

Seriously, that punch was graphic. It was an historic punch. We will be talking about that punch in 10 years.

    Very true.

That punch ranks up there with Hearn's starching of Duran!

Not really, Duran had a granite chin and nobody knocked him out like that before or after, excluding his post-prime years. It was a beautiful punch, but one that was expected sooner or later. Now, I'm gonna give it to Pacquiao, the beast is learning to put leverage in single punches. He used to KO people by accumulation. Is he becoming a one-punch KO artist? That is scary.

Well he used to starch guys like that in the lighter weights (Fahsan 3K Battery was a good one with the uppercut).

140 was Hatton's best weight and he had never lost in that division. Not saying Hatton was granite chinned monster, but he had a decent chin at 140.

Manny destroyed his chin at 140 with one punch. That's very hearns like.

I get what you mean, but Hatton went down twice before the fatal punch, he was already on wobbly legs. Hearns just put the lights out on duran with that historical right hand.

Didn't Hearns put Duran down before the monster right hand too?

Anyway, I just saw an interview on TFC and Manny said his "hand still hurts" 2 hours later from punching hatton in the head.

Duran was down twice in round one, just like Hatton was.

Hearns rocked Duran early in the 2nd as well. As the commentator said, Duran was "fighting on instinct".

Haymaker, have you seen many Pacman fights? He has many 1 punch KO's since his flyweight days, and not only that but almost all of his knockdowns are from single punches, not accumulation (barrera, morales, and marquez).

He is a 1 punch puncher, not an accumulation guy.

The point is Duran had never before or after gotten starched like that. Hatton had already been KO'd previously.

It's similar to Robinson's KO over Fulmer who hadn't been stopped before or after.

    That's what they're getting at.

It was a BEAUTIFUL shot without a doubt, but Hatton wasn't deemed "unknockoutable."

Tarver's KO over Jones is more "historic" in that sense. No one thought Jones would get blazed like that.

That was VERY dangerous. The medical team should have been in immediately giving Ricky oxygen BEFORE his corner turned him over. They shouldn't have moved him at all.

To make matters worse, when they turned him his head was twisted. Seemed like he already had issues breathing, twisting his head and neck didn't help any.

I'm glad Ricky's okay, but his team in their effort to help...didn't.

Hatton had been TKO'd before, but never ONE SHOT KO'd like last night. I never said he was "unknockoutable", but no one thought it was going to be a one shot KO.

You're still missing the point...we're comparing this KO to guys who had never been stopped before.

Kids, this is why you shouldn't comment on fights you have never seen.
