I was listening to Rich Marotta's show locally on the radio and 5 callers suggested Manny needs to fight Marquez again. Obviously, I am in SoCal and most people are Mexican here. Here is the unvarnished truth. People will not be satisfied until Marquez wins. That is the truth. The Marquez Maricones are the most vile, nuthugging contingent of fans today. Number 1: Manny was robbed in the first fight brutally. Not only did the judges score it for him(a judge admitted to not adding the scorecards correctly) Manny dominated that fight.He gave Marquez plastic surgery. Marquez showed heart surviving after the first round, but it is a myth he outboxed Pacman after it. I had Pac by 5 points and pac by 3 or 4 points is also reasonable. Based on this gift, a theft from Manny, Marquez was inappropriately given a rematch he never earned. Btw, anyone that thinks the first fight was close should not comment on how to score fights. Manny dominated. Period. Number 2. I actually think Marquez could have been awarded the decision in the rematch for the second fight. I scored it for a draw and 1 point for either guy is reasonable. Still, that makes Marquez 0-1-1 . Just admit it. Unless, Marquez wins, the Marquez Maricones will request 50 rematches until the "right" outcome occurs. Marquez was given 2 chances to prove he is better than Pacman and he failed.Manny should be praised for even giving Marquez a rematch as all he did in the time in between was get defeated by Chris John and beat Poop Juarez and a faded Barrera. Btw, yes the loss was legitimate.
I hope Marquez beats Floyd. He won't though. Not to be disrespectful to Marquez, he is a fantastic fighter and an ATG. He will put up a respectable effort, but ultimately lose. I hope I am wrong.
I want to see Pacman against whomever just not Marquez. Mentally, I don't know how many can get up for another fight with Marquez. He beat him twice already, albeit unofficially. Pac/Cotto Pac/Mosley Pac/Campbell Frankly, I have no interested in see Mayweather fight above 140. His style sucks against bigger guys.
Pac is not a bigger guy, though. I agree that Floyd's style is designed for winning and nothing else above 140, but can anyone make a Pacquiao fight boring? It just has to happen.
True, but his style is not going to change. He is in there not to get hurt and win by a confusing 2 to 1 score each round. Floyd could make Aaron Pryor boring. Guys like Floyd, Hopkins, Ottke, Stinks all have negative styles that should be outlawed literally. It could easily be written into the rules. Floyd will just back up, turn, back up, turn around, hold, clutch, make a breathing sound and fire a fast right hand. The negative style can stop anything.
I thought Marquez won the 2nd fight with Pac. Closely, but clearly. If anyone has a case for deserving a "rubber match" from Pac it's Marquez. Seeing what Pac did to Hatton just drives home further the quality of both Pac and Marquez. However, I would not like to see a 3rd fight at this point because it would most likely be much like the 2nd fight, and if Marquez won then there would be a 4th fight. I am far more interested in a Floyd/Pac fight right now. Floyd is smart, but he is not brave. Taking on Marquez is a barometer whether he wants to admit it or not. He is unlikely to get KO'd by the smaller Marquez, and he can always run and potshot if things get too rough. The based on how easy/hard it is he can gauge how difficult a Pac fight would be, and either jump on it or retire again. Manny has a legit shot at beating Mayweather, and maybe even beating him up.
Bob Arum said like a month ago that Pacquiao's next big fight will be against Miguel Cotto. If Cotto is able to defeat Clottey we will see that fight sometime this year since both are under Bob Arum's contract.
Floyd is going to dominate JMM.. I do not think this is really a competative match up at all I don't think we'll see Pac vs Cotto, Shane, Marg.. or any of these guys.. they are just Much much Bigger I think we will see Floyd-Pac.. it's bound to happen. Floyd is a little guy anyway.. it's bad news for Pac though.. he's bigger, faster, stronger and better
I'm beginning to feel bad for Marquez. First, his legion of fans is about as disgusting as they come. Combining alcohol, brown pride, amnesty international, and retardation, he has garnered a group that insists he's never lost and considers him the best fighter (or MAYBE second best) fighter in the world right now. That said, he's really a spectacular fighter, and fun to watch. Which is why i feel bad for him. Floyd Mayweather is going to eat his anus. This is a 10-2 fight in the making, and here does he go from there? I give him credit for taking this challenge and wanting to prove himself against Floyd, but he's getting clowned. Manny/Floyd will happen by the end of the year, the public is gonna clamour for it once Floyd takes care of Marquez a/k/a Pacquiao's son.
