I've been caught in that submission on the ground. Very surprising and hard to foresee when you're grappling.
I just watched Mel Gibson finish a dude off with the triangle choke in the movie Lethal Weapon from 22 years ago! Wow! Mel was so ahead of the times. He just oozes coolness! :bears: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PnSHQHXvaTU&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PnSHQHXvaTU&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Cool. But why did they have Rorion specifically choreograph it? I never watched Lethal Weapon series but I'm assuming Mel Gibson's character was supposed to be a master in martial arts? I thought choreography in most Hollywood movies in the 80s was mostly just a lot of punching and kicking. Heck even kung fu and martial arts movies were mostly punching and kicking and the odd choke. Never any submission maneuvers or anything.
i dunno, but i thought he was referring to the MMA fight......the submission was so perfect that you couldn't have choreographed it any better
I don't remember the story exactly. I think he was in Hollywood, doing what all of the Gracie's were trying to do around that time; convince the world that BJJ was the best. Eventually, after he did the work for that movie, he got the ball rolling for the UFC.
Just a Wild Guess, but HELL YEAH!!!artie: SLOWLY, but SURELY, REED is Picking Up this MMA Shit!!!.... REED:mj:
