Pacquiao. Assuming this is at 135/140...too much more offense on Manny's side. I think the southpaw/southpaw interplay could be very interesting, I just think it would look like Manny wins more rounds, even if they fight evenly.
Whitaker.... as the fight goes on Manny Pacquiao will be reduce to flicking the jab out and going for the fences with the left hand...
Pacquiao would have won this fight by decision IMO, with Whitakers crafty defense, expect Manny working from the body up early with mixed results. As the rounds progress there will be noticably more movement on Pea's part, with Pac in pursuit, but both landing yet Manny with more output. In the end Pea has a sore mitt and both marked up in what the judges would see a 7-5 type of fight with Manny as the aggressor.
You know, I have a very hard time vizualizing this fight. Both are such weird fighters in so many ways that I can't quite place this in any useful frame of reference. That being the case I'll just revert to my default position for Sweet Pea MMs which is to pick him by comfortable decision. If Marquez can out box Manny then I gotta think the greatest pure boxer I ever did see can.
Whitaker power punching meant nothing against Whitaker, he was unflappable. It was almost like the harder a guy punched, the more Whitaker would stay in the pocket and pick off those punches. Pacquaio would have his moments and hed keep pressing, but eventually the frustration will lead him to trying to land the perfect shot. Not going to happen against arguably the best pure boxer of all time... also, as always, people forget the OFFENSE of Whitaker... Whitaker hit his opponents A LOT and Manny is no defensive genius
Whitaker wins clear decision, but Pacquiao's speed does make it difficult for him. It wouldn't be a Haugen-like dominating performance
GOODDAMMIT yes he IS...fucking Armstrong was garbage compare to the PacMan...-BAMA P.s have u listen to the new Maroon 5 album, that shit is fire..the Metro community is going wild over it.....god i love those guys..
Right now i'd pick Whitaker by decision. Although Mayweather and Floyd aren't the same guy, if Pac-Floyd comes off it would give a lot better insight into this matchup.
Good match. I'd say Pacquiao by late stoppage. Judging by what Trinidad was able to accomplish against a near-prime Whitaker, I'd say Pacquiao's speed and higher output would force Pea to take a knee and observe a 10 count.
:: at least now i know u are kidding....but come on you just have to say it.... "Pacquiao is an all time great, and my favorite boxer ever. BUT P. Whitaker was just in another level defensively, my prediction is Pernell by UD".....SAY IT!!
Thank God...I thought you have been serious this whole time... I was gettin fuckin worried... No one could have been that retarded.
