Karl, first I find this comment freaking ridiculous. Especially for someone who has attended several events for FightBeat including IFL and UFC events. Let me explain to you and everyone else on this site how you get good credentials. First of all you don't get good seats because we are FightBeat or because I was a former amateur champion. You get it because you created interest in their fight by posting interviews, articles, photos, videos. If they feel you did something to help their promotion you will get rewarded. Here is how it's done at Fightbeat "Hi Cupey, get me into this mega fight where 1000 people will apply. I won't do a damn thing but possibly send you a press release, and maybe a pre-fight article a day before the event. It will probably require 15 hours of editing, but who cares. That should be good enough for a front row seat. Thanks brother" So please don't give me shit about somone getting crappy credentials. It happens sometimes. Not to say Reed deserved crappy seats. I'm saying that it happens and it' because there has always been a problem with people contributing. Either people don't do it or the people that do write so bad that you don't actually want it. Cupey
Cupey, you know you got my support. But I gotta say, what motivation could my man Stinger have in submitting anything when he knows just like the rest of us that his articles and videos ain't gonna see the light of day on FightBeat? It's a whole lot of effort wasted! If you could promise people that stuff will get put up on the homepage, people would be spending 20 hours a day writing their best material for you. :kidcool:
Cupey, you should hook me up with some credentials for the UFC. I mean, I don't actually want to write any articles or anything, but I will promote the site by wearing a Fightbeat T-Shirt there. You'll just have to provide me with a free Fightbeat T-Shirt. TFK
It takes energy on both parts to get the job done. Hanzy, like I said before I burnt out. These incidents of things not being published were never the norm and people should make it out to be that way. Like I said, I've come to realize I can't do it all and so I needed to put fail safes in place in case I can't do my job. But that is old news now. We are looking to move forward and make some changes so whatever happens these things will never happen again. I'm sure the new person in charge will do a great job. Cupey
Great. I can't cover UFC 98 because I already have plans, but I'm free for UFC 99. I'll PM you my info and you can send me my plane ticket to Germany (1st Class of course) and provide me with my hotel and rental car info. Also, if you could provide me with funds up front for meals and incidentals, that would be great. I really don't feel like filling out an expense report. Thanks. TFK
Cupey is right. This had been going on at this site long before Cupey became disenfranchised with it all.
...Jermain Taylor vs. Carl Froch, JuanMa Lopez vs. Gerry Penalosa AND their Undercard Bouts Came & Went...& Then.... REED:boohoo:
Anybody know what happened to DSimon? He was supposed to be the ringleader of the FightBeat coup and he just disappeared. :dunno:
Steve_Dave has already made his intentions clear to me. All I need now is to finish talks with one more person and then I'll let everyone know how FB will proceed. C
True. If after defeating Joppy Tito would had chosen never to face Hopkins he might have been looked at as THE real middleweight champion and Hopkins as a sort of Dariuz Michalzeweski of the 160 libs division, the ugly duckling with no respect from fans. Anyway Tito was headed to a Roy Jones Jr. fight, so he would had been defeated anyway, which again proves his wilingness to fight the best.
Cupey tells me the contracts are in the mail. Fightbeat will be back with a vengance baby, we have some huge plans.
Plenty more like him here already, but only one who finds a way to insert himself into nearly every thread and endorse his own inflated feeling of self worth.
