No, it means what it means. It was a very good win for Pac considering the context. Also, MAB was still good enough to beat the version of Morales that decisioned Pac. You almost make it sound like MAB was shot when he fought Pac the first time, that's ridiculous.

Nah man, I do think MAB was in decline and feel most of the name fighters Pac has faced have been.

That's why I question people when they say he is the best fighter since Leonard or on other threads that he's top 10 all time, that's rediculous.

I like Manny, how could you not, but some people are just going to far.

TexMex, so Pac has only had one legitimate win his whole career?

It's ridiculous how bad Pacman is being overrated. I like him as a fighter but now I want to see him KTFO so I can see the nuthuggers is utter shock. It's funny to be how fans are yet to learn. They build up a fighter to become invincible and when that fighter loses they are in shock. It never gets old.

Roach is Another HUGE Factor in Manny's "Retirement"...If/When Manny Makes this Move, it'll CHANGE his Relationship w/Freddie Roach...Not in a NEGATIVE Way, but Obviously, they'll Spend LESS Time Together...Roach will Understandably Go On w/his Training Career & Manny will Eventually MISS their Time 2Gether...

Manny's Made NO Secret of How IMPORTANT Roach is to Him & he'll MISS his Presence...Roach + the DILUTED Adulation from his Countrymen WILL = a RETURN to Boxing for Manny Pac...

If you hate Manny Pacquiao, you need to find another sport, he's as good as it gets today.

He's a very good person/fighter, but many of you are acting as though he's invincible.

Alabama Man is a fucking HOMO....but Mayweather nuthuggers/fans are a lot worst...they also act like he is invicible....but at least Pacquiao has been fighting WORLD CLASS fighters...and guys MUCH Bigger than him for the last 2-3 years...shit LONGER since his destruction of MAB....

Mayweather has been holding his dick and spending all that money he has made in the last 2-3 years(DLH/HATTON) fights..while AVOIDING guys like Cotto, MOsley, Margarito, Williams, Clottey...etc..etc...in his weight division...

How much has Mayweather been either ducking or procrastinating??? Pacquiao moved up from 135 destroyed both of Mayweather career victory opponents in a total of 10 rounds.....and is looking ahead at two of the guys Mayweather has shunned.....over the last few years...

p.s. AM is still a HOMO...he would love to make sweet sex to Manny's Package...

avoided, ducked, didn't think it necessary to fight 'em, thought he was tooo good for them, didn't get around to it....whatever the reason...Mayweather has yet to fight Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Williams, Clottey, Cintron or any of the TOP Welterweights of his time....he can kinda make up for it..if he fights Pacquiao....

If manny retires today, he has the best resume since Leonard/Duran.

Marquez 2x, Barrera 2x, Morales 3x, Oscar, Hatton, thats not even getting into the second tier guys.

Once he adds Floyd to his list of opp., lets keep in mind he's 7-1-1 with 5KO's in these fights against HOFers.

Now lets add that he started his career at diaperweight. I don't understand how I or anyone else could be "overrating" him. He has been DOMINANT moving up weight against HOF opposition.

I'm not saying that, what I'm saying is that he has had alot of very goog wins, but not enough to say he's top 10 all time or best fighter since Leonard.

If Manny fought MAB, Morales, Hatton, DLH, four or five years ago, Manny would have lost some of those fights, hell he lost to Morales anyway.

merchant was talking about pacquiao at the weigh in when he was facing agapito sanchez. he was asked whether pacquaio could hang with morales or barrera and he responded basically saying, 'by the time he gets fights against those guys he can definitely compete with them.'

those two guys each had plenty of wars by the time pacquiao got his shot at them.

IMO he lost to Marquez once.

Barrera 2X? If you even have to mention the second Barrera fight to make your point...

He fought Morales 3X, lost once, then beat him twice after another average fighter did. Wow.

If you want to give him so much credit for fighting at "diaperweight", well he has a KO loss he never attempted to avenge.

So we have a fighter that has unavenged defeats, with his 2 best wins being MAB 1, and Marquez 1 in which the latter he got outboxed the majority of the fight and your ready to say he's the best fighter since Leonard?

Funny how when after Pacquiao beats certain guys he gets small credit by some people. Pacquiao was paying back +400 against MAB to win and +1200 to win by KO. So yeah he was a big ass underdog.

IMO Leonard lost to Hearns once

Mentioning Hagler?...He'd just gone life and death with an average John Mugabi

He fought Duran 3x, lost once, then beat the same versions who were dominated by Kirkland Laing and Robbie Sims. Wow.

If you want to give him so much credit for being a decorated amateur how come he didn't avenge his losses?

So we have a fighter who cherry picked opponents, ducked Aaron Pyror, and his 2 best wins being Duran 2, and Hearns 1, in which the latter he got outboxed the majority of the fight and your ready to say Leonard's the best since Ali?

When did I say Ray was the best since Ali?

Your the one saying Manny is the best fighter since Leonard, which is completely false.

Let me try to break this down for you- If Manny had fought MAB, Morales, DLH, Hatton, 4 or 5 yrs before he did, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Bringing up Pac's second fight with MAB to TRY and prove your point about how great his resume is just proves my point, thanks.

Very good resume does not = great fighter.

Yeah, heaven forbid people actually try and justify a certain fighter's worth based on empirical data, instead of baseless opinion from the mouth of blowhard.

    Ummm...wow...just wow.
Ok I'm not the biggest Manny fan...Hell I thought Marquez beat him at least once and could be justified to even have won the first one(yeah yeah I know...just shutup) and I pick at Manny more than anyone here, but to say Manny isn't a great fighter? Give me a fuckin break, he is easily one of the best fighters we have had...ever.
Look at the guys he has beat, and at the time he beat them.
People say shit about the Barrera win, but as already said he was the favorite to beat Pacman, and he got dominated.
Yes he lost to Morales, but lets remember what people used to compare Erik too before he finally lost again, we were mentioning him to be one of the best ever as well...so please lets not down play the loss or the win.
And then close ass fights with Marquez who today is probably the most talented fighter and intelligent fighter in the world today.
And Pacman has beatin Hatton and DLH.
And yes these are all future hall of famers close to the prime of their career (save DLH) and its not that he beat these Hall of Famers its how he beat them...he absolutely dominated every single one of them, made them look like a joke(save Marquez) and if he gets to fight Mayweather this year and does the same thing he has been doin to the rest...he is easily one of the best fighters of all time...top ten easily...

And we all know how much I talk shit on Manny but respect is due, the man is great.

Do you think this empirical data is enough to justify "Pac is the greatest fighter since Leonard?

The funny thing is that statement is pretty accurate, and can be argued convincingly from the "Yes he is" side.

You simply don't know much about boxing.

Never said Manny wasn't a great fighter.

Never said he wasn't the p4p king.

I did say he is not the greatest fighter since Leonard, because he isn't.

I did say he is not top ten greatest ever, because he isn't.

Sorry...I guess the greatest fighter since leonard is Mayweather?
Well though there of course is an arguement and one I wouldn't exactly argue, if given the right logic, but look at common opponents....especially the last 2...only of course you think Mayweather of course ruined them both before Pacman destroyed them?
And remember DLH looked good against Mayweather, and Hatton did as well, and Hatton looked good against Palie before fighting Manny...and Pacman shut them out...completely.

Well I didn't say he was the top ten greatest ever either, I said he could be if he KO'd Mayweather this year.

Pacman has constantly been KOing guys on the P4P list... its gettin ridiculous.
Tex trust me...I'm not a Pac fan but...he deserves a mention.
