Just played the demo for Fight Night RD 4...

Yeah,analog punch controls little off though.I hope they fix it for the final copy.

 

EA should hire me to make Fight Night, I honestly think the Boxing Game prototype I made earlier this year is better than Fight Night Round 3.

 

Can you have a decison fight in this version or is it like the ones before where practically every fight ends into a KO?

 

The demo was limited to 3 rds.I played it four times and ended up going the distance in all of them but I think it comes down to how you want to play.The only fighters you can play is Pacquiao and Hatton though but I also saw Miguel Cotto in the intro video.

 

Was it difficult to maintain range like it appeared to be in all the demonstration vids? Also did it seem like guys moved around the ring too slowly?

Its actually easier to maintain range now because you have the option to push an inside fighter(Tyson) away from you when they get in close.

As for fighters moving slowly I guess it depends on the fighter your using.I played Pacquiao and he seemed to move around fine for me.

 

Is it true that u have to use Total control punching for all the punching....no more buttons?? That fucking sucks....

 

I played the UFC game demo that is coming out in a few days...that shit is nice....in the demo u can only play as Liddell or Shogun Rua...i played 10 matches yesterday...5 w/ each fighter...the 5 fight as Liddell i ko'ed Rua every time....the 5 fight as Rua..i got Ko'ed by Liddell every time...

Is it still impossible to throw a right cross? Do fighters automatically rotate when the other fighter makes a lateral move? These are the two things that have prevented me from playing the previous games for more than 2 consecutive minutes.

 

did the demo give you any sense of how varied the styles are.....i.e. will it just bt the simplistic boxer or brawler?....every time we are told that the boxers fight just like in real-life, then you play the game and they only actually fight in one of two or three styles

 

I played Pacquiao and he seemed pretty good at fighting inside and out but if your playing Hatton you have to work your way inside because his outside game sucks.

These were the only two fighters I could use in the demo


So if you wanting to know if you can play Mike Tyson like a cutie than yes you can but you will be at a disadvantage.

just got back from gamespot..pre-order UFC for tomorrow...and got my demo of FN4...Total Control Punching is SHIT!! There is still a small delay..sometime u want to throw a hook and it comes out like a jab...

FN is still a stand and slug it out game...:shit:...fucking EA trying to shove their shitty TCP down our throws.....:flip:

 

Okay...after a few fights...it's not so bad...TCP still sucks...but at least i don't have be pressing the trigger buttons to throw body shots...left/right hooks to the body come out easy enough..not sure about uppercuts to the body...


still prefer the UFC Undisputed 2009 Demo > FN 4 Demo...the UFC demo u can only play as Liddell or Shogun Rua..first few fights i had Liddell and i would kick Rua's ass...then played as Rua for a few matches could do shit vs. Liddell..i woud look to fight smart I guess and stay away or go for takedown but i couldn't...by round 2 or 3 Liddell would KO' me...then i won a few using Rua...but out of nowhere came liddell w/ some superman punch or something an ko'ed me...

UFC game is just unpredictable u can be winning the fight easy and one punch u would be badly hurt...or even KO the fuck out...and that makes the game fun...FN is just slug..slug..slug..u get hurt ur fighter goes into slow mo...that just fucking sucks...that shit doesn't happen in real life...WHEN COTTO was hurt by Torres he didn't SLOW DOWN..he either went for a clinch..or tried to get away..or just kept on slugging it out..he didn't go into slow mode....

 

Total punch control in bullshit. You can use any buttons?

 

In the DEMO u can't...u can switch controller config but the punches can only be thrown w/ the stick.....the buttons are use to clinch, push off, special punch, and headbutt/groin punch/etc..

and i have read in a few sites that no button are used to punch...It's TCP/TPC with the stick...or NOTHING at all..which sucks...fucking EA trying to force the player to use it...

like i said it'sfn is still stand and slug..no tactics...no realism..at least vs. the computer once u go online or play vs. someone else then it changes...i played as Hatton and I outjab Pacquiao..come on...realism...:nono:

 

I was looking forward to this game only to find out its more of the same bullshit with a few minor tweaks. I AINT BUYING THIS SHIT.

I don't know..default that came w/ the game...i didn't check/change the difficulty level...AND i didn't bounce around like ALI or something using Hatton..i just came forward with body shots..and the occassional jab to get inside....

 

yeah, well one would hope that the realism comes more into play the harder the game setting....

....btw, in case anyone didn't know....you can change the difficulty on the UFC demo....crank it up to expert. It isn't actually all that hard.....it is a lot easier to beat Chuck though.....i found Rua's ground game is very hard to defend on expert, whereas you can quite easily get the better of things standing up vs Chuck, just by picking him off

 

i change it to expert..and chuck is still kicking my ass...Ko' me in the 2nd round...I still need to learn the controls..i can get grab Liddell but 99% of the times i can't take him down...the play by play keep talking about Shogun great knee kicks...or whatever but i can't get them off while im grabbing on to Liddell....:bangh:

 

I love total punch control. Button mashing sucks.

 

EA Sports freaking blows... I plan on picking up the UFC game today, I might just rock that and forget about Fight Night unfortunately..
