    I wouldn't say Weaver sucked. He was a good heavy and it wasn't just because of his power. It's not like he was a huge puncher. He had a bit of that rep after KOing John Tate...but that had more to do with Tate's glass jaw than anything else.

    It looked like he was going to make some noise in the post-Pernell Whitaker lightweight division but he lost to Freddie Pendelton and pretty much disappeared.

    Are we talking just compared to world level though? Because even though he wasn't world class, Alexander was a dangerous guy for anyone at domestic level in Britain, fuck, even when he did step up to world level against Harry Simon at a days notice he still gave a very good account of himself and rocked Simon BIG TIME in one of the early rounds, also sparked Takaloo as well. I don't think he was ever considered world class, nor did he ever talk himself up to be at that level so I don't know if Alexander counts.
