Just read an article about Pacman who's on vacation with his wife. It seems his first choice for an opponent is Cotto, although he didn't state that outright. He seems to want the best matchup financially and that would be Cotto. Of course if Cotto loses to Clottey, that could change things. He secondary choices appear to be Floyd, JMM and Mosley, in that order.

Personally I wouldn't mind a Pac-Cotto fight. Cotto knows how to deal with speed and his skills could make this a good match. On the other hand, unlike Mosley, Cotto was quick to turn down Manny's offer of a catch weight which was very smart. Know Cotto can ask for more money if he agrees to go down in weight.

If Clottey does beat Cotto, Clottey'll probably be forced to fight Shane seeing as how Shane doesn't have anyone else who would be willing to fight him. That's a matchup I don't want to see.

    Didn't you left for good?:boohoo:

I don't want to watch Clottey against no one: the guy is just boring as hell.

I thought it was Mosley who said he can't go down to whatever weight Manny want him 2...and it was Cotto who said he would go down to 145..but not 143....

Maybe..Maybe NOT..it will be less of a headache in the negotiation table...

60-40 for Manny vs. Cotto would bank Manny probably 15-16 million and Cotto 9-10 mil...+ plus PPV's money for both...and it will GENERATE over 1 million PPV's....easy...

Mayweather wanting 60-40 is not happening...mayweather probably wanting more of the ppv money is not happening...SO for Manny the COTTO fight is the easier one to make that will bring him a lot of money....

WHY NEGOTIATE for MONTHS...for Mayweather and his childish behavior...and have a fight delay..and Manny on the shell waiting for Mayweather to give...

last time I checked 2 million buys was a lot better than 1 million. cotto has yet to prove to be the type of ppv attraction hatton has, so I'm skeptical that a pacquiao cotto fight would even do over 1 million buys. mayweather jr vs pacquiao would be aiming for 2mill homes.

pacquiao is a FUCKING IDIOT if he let's arum talk him into a cotto fight and leaving 10 million dollars on the table.

Hatton is a bigger PPV draw than Cotto now in the STATES......Hatton is a good draw in the UK.. Pacquiao vs. Cotto will EASILY do 1 million...Pac vs. Hatton did 800K in the STATES and you are not going to tell me it's cause of Hatton.......

***and what do Cotto and Hatton ppv drawing power have to do with anything....Pac fight who he wants to fight..he unlike Mayweather has nothing to prove..he has been beating hall of famer for the last few years...while May has been ducking the best competition for the same time period...

that number right there 800K one can assume that Pac is a even a bigger draw than Mayweahter who did 900K vs. Hatton in the States..but had a TON of publicity...dancing w/ the stars....Wrestlemania...PLUS being an AMERICAN.....lil Pac can bring 'em in...

Pac is the man he knows he has options Cotto/Mosley..Manny don't scare.........Unlike Mayweather...Pacquiao is not afraid of a CHALLENGE. IF he beats Cotto or Mosley that put more pressure on Mayweather who would be lucky if after beating one of those guys Pac gives him 40%....90/10 says Mayweather goes on to fight someone other than the TOP 3.....

The only way Pacquiao gets paid more fighting Cotto is if Cotto's team would agree to some really unreasonable split.

Mayweather-Pacquiao is the biggest money fight that can be made in the sport. And that's why it will probably happen late this year, barring a JMM upset.

Personally I'd rather see Mayweather-Mosley and Pacquiao-Cotto, but there's too much money for PBF-Pac not to happen. All this "50-50, 60-40, I will fight so and so instead, blah blah, sounds like the usual pre-negotiations negotiations".
