pacquiao will have to continue to prove me wrong because mosley I saw earlier this year beating down margarito would put a serious hurting on pacquiao.

I broadly agree, though Pac is faster than Margarito i.e. faster than cold molasses, and should be not only harder to hit clean but harder to stop being hit by.

Pac is not a defensive wizard. He'll definitely be there to be hit.

Marge without the concrete in his hands is a borderline bum.

Don't get me wrong, Mosley looked fucking GREAT, fast and sharp. But it was helped no doubt by how slow and basic Marge is.

Pacman is light years better than Marge.

SHane would give Pacman a very tough fight, but lose a decision, like 8 rounds to 4, competitive most of the way through though.

And yes, Shane has one of the best chins in boxing, he's not getting stopped.

Wrong. Seriously, have you not seen Pacman fight since Morales or something?

Pacman's defense has improved tenfold. In his last 2 fights he was slipping and countering simultaneously, Duran stylee.

His head movement and reaction speed recently has been phenominal, Oscar and Hatton barely laid a glove on him.

REED Thinks Manny Pac is Gonna Experience a Flyweight FLASHBACK, Meaning he'll Get STOPPED by Bodyshots...Shane will B SCIENTIFICALLY Aggressive as Opposed to just BOLDLY Trying to OutMAN Pac (as Hatton Foolishly Attempted) & It'll Work...

LATE Stoppage for Shane OR a UD...

N Terms of How Much HURT he Can Dish Out, Sugar Shane's a TOUGHER Matchup for Pac than Floyd is...

I agree with this. Manny is looking great at 140 lbs. His quickness will be too much for Mosley who is clearly past it. Margarito's style was perfect for Shane

Against a weight-drained DLH and a really crappy-looking Hatton. He wasn't exactly countering Pernell Whitaker in there. He'll have a harder time with Mosley, and Pacquaio is all about offense. He'll be there to be hit.

Manny is reminding me of Tito-Not afraid to fight the best.
It's tough to pick. I instantly think SSM, however older fighters don't do well against speed. They are better off fighting big tough guys. (Hopkins & Mosley are prime examples).

That's a VALID Comparison...@ 1 Time, Tito Fans ACTUALLY THOUGHT he'd WAX Bernard Hopkins THEN WAX Roy Jones Jr...High Profile WINS Have a Way of INTOXICATING Hardcore Boxing Fans...

Bottom Line, REED See's NOfuckingWAY that Manny Pac BEATS Sugar Shane Mosley...

Even Though it Probably HASN'T seemed like it Lately, REED is a HUGE Manny Pac Fan...but @ SOME Point, Enough is ENOUGH...Pac Fans R Acting like he's a MASTER Boxer All of a Sudden, as if Shane CAN'T Watch Tape of the Marquez Fights & Adopt Some Strategies...

Manny Pac AIN'T Winky Wright OR Vernon Forrest & he Damn Sure AIN'T KO'ing Shane Mosley...U Couldn't Hit ANYBODY w/a HARDER Punch than that Uppercut that Forrest Caught Mosley w/Yet Shane STILL Lasted 12...

Margarito was SUPPOSED to B a "Killer" According to the Vast Majority of Boxing Fans & Media, but Now that Shane WAXED him, he's CRAP???...Personallly, REED ALWAYS Felt that Way about Margarito, but ALOT of the Guys Clinging to Pac N a Shane Matchup ALSO Thought Margarito would B Toooooo MUCH For Shane...

So they are not WAITING for Floyd??

Catweight will probably be 143-144. Pacman by a razor thin decision and I agree, Mosley is the TOUGHEST fight for Pacman out there. You have to take your hat off to BOTH fighters.

Tito dared to try & be great. He sought the greatest challenges. I will always hold him in high regard for that. I couldn't say the same for some fighters with more talent.
We could do with more fighters like Tito in that sense.
I lean towards SSM, but if Manny is in & out, landing B4 Shane can get off, it will be a long night for him.

    Can't say I disagree.

Shane beats Pacquaio. He simply needs to use his jab and reach, let Manny come to him then time him coming in...sound familar? Alot like Marquez. marquez got dropped be getting over-aggressive and walking into shots.

if anything, Shane knowing Pac isn't going to hurt him could cause him to fight foolishly, rush in and take shots. That's what happened in the Cotto fight when Miguel got hurt and ran like a bitch.

the "onliest" way I see pac winning is to employ a strategy like Leonard had against Hagler...pity pat then get out...don't believe Manny has the footwork or boxing ability to do that.

well that was pretty boxingtalk-esque of ESPN to report the fight was a done deal.

my sentiment was, Good for Mosley. he deserves the payday and big victory. but realistically it makes no sense for pacquiao to face him.

Just like it makes no sense for Mayweather to duck him and seek out Marquez.

I dont think Pac lasts 12 with Shane

Shane's chin is great and he puts power into some shots..

the only way Pac wins is to use speed and younger legs, maybe.. MAYBE box a dec but I don't really see that either

Manny will make a lot of money fighting Shane and will gain more fans for taking a fight that matters, unlike Mayweather, who doesn't give a shit what the fans want to see. The only people that want to see Mayweather vs JMM are Mayweather fans because they know he won't lose that fight, there is no chance JMM beats Floyd.
