One of the best cards of the year so far, at least on paper. And with a stacked WEC show the next night, it's a great weekend to be an MMA fan.

I see 2 good fights, Lawler-Shields and Diaz-Smith and 3 other fights that are not very good.

Mike Whiteheads fat overated ass should be retired by now.

Arlovski-Rogers is a VERY Interesting Fight...Rogers is a Damn Good Striker & we ALL Know the Quality of Arlovski's Chin...Arlovski SHOULD Win, Especially if he Gets the Fight to the Ground...But CAN He Get Rogers to the Ground???...

    Interesting Fight...

Arlovski is a better striker than Rogers.

Arlovski and Rogers is a fun matchup. We know both fighters can bang pretty good. We know Arlovski doesn't have a chin. We have no idea what kind of chin Rogers has, as we've never really seen it tested. We don't know what kind of ground skills, if any, Rogers has.

After getting caught by Fedor, will Arlovski play it safe? He got careless against Fedor and got KO'd. If he gets careless against Rogers, the same thing can happen.

This should be a great fight, but if Arlovski gets scared and goes into his shell, it's gonna be up to Rogers to press the pace.

Diaz\Smith...well there's just no way that's not gonna be a great fight. Neither fighter is elite, or probably even top 10, but styles make fights, and this is gonna be good.

Sheilds\Lawler is a matchup of two of StrikeForce's best fighters. Sheilds has been on a tear, but I think Lawler might be too much for him. Should be a very good fight.

The other two fights are what they are, familiar names facing each other, but none of the four are very good or relavent for that matter.

I cant wait for this card.

Lawler/Shields will be fun to watch. Good banger vs. good ground guy.

Diaz vs. Smith. This will be fun as hell. Both will go for broke you know that.

Arlovski vs. Rogers. Dont blink! Someone is going to sleep.

I also love Randleman and always like to see him fight.

    Then WEC Sunday! Great weekend!

Diaz threw 3000 punches in that fight, and he hit Scott Smith with every single one of them.

Diaz's punches are just ugly. They're pathetic. But he throws so many of them that they're effective. His body shots were good, but man, most of his head shots, they were just awful. Had Smith maybe tried something crazy, like move his head even a little bit to try and avoid getting hit, he might've done better.

But instead we got Diaz throwing punches like my 7 year old nephew playing Wii boxing, and Smith just standing there eating every single one of them.

It's gotta be Rogers vs Overeem in August.

Brett Rogers just destroyed Andre Arlovski with 3 or 4 straight punches to the dome. I didn't know Rogers was THAT!! explosive...WOW!

Watch the replays, Arlovski is out when he's going down. He recovered quick, but Big John had already called it.

    It was a good stoppage.

Holy Crap! Fedor broke a smile!

I don't think I've ever seen him show any kind of emotion before.

I wonder if Rogers took the long way around the cage to get back to the dressing room so he didn't have to cross paths with Fedor.

I think Overeem is garbage, so Rogers should beat him. Fedor will obviously beat Barnett, so we could see Rogers\Fedor at the end of the year.

i doubt he avoided fedor. There is no reason to fear fedor outside the ring. He seems like the nicest guy. But fedor will make quick work of Rogers. Once he takes him down, its over in a matter of seconds.

How can you call overeem garbage when he's arguably the best kickboxer in the world (well I know it sound pathetic but it's true). He's far better at HW than he was at LHW due to roids and he seem to gass a lot less cause he doesn't have to do weight
