I've liked Rogers for a while now. He is quick and powerful, explosive. Surprisingly nimble and coordinated for a big fella too.

He's obviously not going to beat Fedor, but I would honestly give him a chance against most heavyweights.

I know Arlovski has a glass chin, but destroying him in seconds is still impressive.

Also, I gotta say, it WAS a quick stoppage. I'm sure most of you know, I generally don't disagree with stoppages unless they seem absurdly premature.

And this wasn't an AWFUL stoppage, but it was a bad one.

See the thing is, Arlovski kind of LOOKED like he was out, on the way down etc, but he obviously wasn't, as he looked relatively fine when he was on the ground as the fight was stopped.

I mean, Brett would have probably bashed him anyway, and still won, but at least give the man a chance, a few more seconds, it's not like he was being brutally pummeled to prompt a stoppage.

I agree 100% on everything, I like Brett since I've seen him fight Thompson, but I feel the Arlovski fight should have went a tad longer

Usually you can tell whether a stoppage was good or not by how much the guy who was stopped complains immediately after. Arlovski didn't seem to have any problem with the ref stopping the fight.

I think it was a good stoppage, as Arlovski was out on the way down. And I'd rather a fight be stopped too early than too late.

Like REED Said Saturday Night, Arlovski's Body WENT LIMP Against the Cage, Then he Fell...Watching the KO LIVE, SURE, it Looked like a QUICK Stoppage...

But Watching the Replay, it Seemed Justified AND, Arlovski NEVER Bitched about it...

Exactly. As it happened, I thought it was a quick stoppage. But watching the replay, especially from the angle where you could see Andrei's face, you could see he was out.

It was a good stoppage. Arlovoski's eyes were like glass when the ref stopped it. He was done. He also should retire. His defense is shit and his chin is caca

Arlovski IMO has always been Overrated. He was never that good. I recently watched the Fedor vs. Arlovski fight in Slow motion. I couldnt believe how many shots Fedor rolled with. It looked like AA was landing punches, but in reality, he was missing lots.

I call upon all of you to watch that fight in Slow motion. Not on youtube, but on a clear TV. AA missed lots of shots.

Most definitely, Godfather. Really the only thing he landed was that front kick that put him into position to get knocked out.

That fight will happen. It's probably the next fight for Rogers. I hope it's in San Jose so I can see it live. I will definitely be going to Carano vs Cyborg in SJ in August.

Brett is a beast, the guy might not be polished yet, but damn he can bang. The fight with Overheem could easily be FOTY if it lasts long enough. I wouldn't be suprised if the winner of that is fighting the winner of Fedor/Barnett.

I'm pretty sure he's under contract with Strikeforce he's fought for them twice already. He was supposed to fight Rogers instead of Arlovski. Overeem is the Strikeforce HW Champ. He beat Paul Buentello for the newly created title.

Do you know much about Strikeforce's contracts Z? Do they have alot of fighter options? I guess I'm just wondering about Fedor fighting for them.

I don't know much about it, but I don't think they are exclusive. At least for Overeem anyway. I think there is a great chance that Fedor fights on a Strikeforce card though, since the last card was a co-promotion of sorts. Arlovski isn't under contract for Strikeforce, the Rogers fight counted toward his Affliction contract. It was his last fight under the Affliction contract. That's about all I know. I think both Affliction and Strikeforce have no issues sharing fighters. Affliction could definitely learn a thing or two about how to run a business from Strikeforce so hopefully they help eachother out.

I think the only way Affliction can survive is co-promoting with Strikeforce. It makes sense for both sides if they can keep it profitable. The fans could really win big with alot of the potential matchups.

I hope they do team up, it's a very good possibility and it would be great for the fans. Strikeforce is the most stable MMA org outside of the UFC, it's a good move for Affliction.

Without a doubt. Just a little food for thought, Affliction has alot of contacts with Dream as well, with Strikeforce and Affliction teaming up, they could easily share fighters with Dream or possibly do co-promotions too. It would definitely be huge for MMA and its fans.
