 Yep...But Since REED didn't Pick Pac to Stop Hatton as EARLY as Jaws Predicted, that Qualifies REED for the "Subtle Bias" Club:shit:...

Anyways, GREAT Question, Dog...The Last Time REED Picked AGAINST Pac was the Dela Fight...Prior to that???...REED Can't Even Recall...As YOU Know, REED Even Picked Pac to Beat Barrera the 1st Time...

Bottom Line, REED Can Count the Times he Picked AGAINST Pac on 1 or 2 FINGERS...But Let Pimply Faced Jaws Believe Whatever the Fuck he Wishes...He's IRRELEVANT AnyWays...

    I agree!

If Pacquiao wants more big money fights he can't expect people from 147 to drop so low. Especially when he had no problem going up a few months ago.

There are no more big fights at 140 unless he fights JMM a third time.

I would agree with this if Manny was the one calling out Shane. That is not the case. Shane is doing everything he can to make this fight. It's Shane who wants Manny, not the other way around.

150? They weighed in at 147. I don't care what they weighed at any point after that. It was a welterweight fight. NOT a catchweight fight. The Forbes fight was at 150, not the Pac fight.

Oscar hasn't been an elite fighter for years. Far less risk than a Cotto or Shane fight. Or is that too logical an answer?

Which gets back to my original point...

If Floyd's bitchass didn't look two weight classes down, Manny's secondary bitch move wouldn't be an issue.

You took a quote I made about Mosley being able to catch Pacquaio with punches and turn it around to say that I'm anti-Pacquaio? That's pretty low of you, Jaws. I LIKE Manny Pac.

And there you have it...the reason why we're calling it a bitch move.

Sucks when your own words makes the opposing views point, doesn't it?

Doesn't make him a bitch. At least he fought Hatton at 140 where Hatton made his name.

ODH called Pacquiao out. Roach said himself Pacquiao's not going to fight at 147 anymore.

It's kind of like PBF's fighting ODH at 154. He didn't fight anyone else there because there was no money in it and it's clear PBF doesn't belong at 154.

What is a bitch move is for Pacquiao to call out Mosley or Cotto at a catch weight.

It doesn't make any point, all it means is Pac took that fight for nothing more than the money. You know, the same reason ANY fighter would fight Oscar. Same reason Mayweather took that fight, Same reason Forbes took that fight.

I have now heard it all. Manny Pac is a bitch.

We have a guy who we should appreciate here in Manny and you guys are bitching like a bunch of little girls. Manny had NO intention of staying at 147, he took the Oscar fight for MILLIONS of reasons.

At least he's willing to make good fights unlike Gayweather.

I don't recall REED picking against Pacquiao much, if at all, outside of the DLH fight in fights that actually took place. And he picked Manny to win in his most recent fight against Hatton.

I guess it's just another made up "fact" from Jaws.

Don't take Jaws seriously. He will say ANYTHING (whether it is true or not) to prove one of his half-baked "points".

The truth is that Jaws is so hideously biased and everyone knows it. And as result, in the attempt to draw attention away from his own biases, he tries to make it sound like everyone else is biased and he's not. And I guess he hopes if he says it enough times, it will magically become true.

Speaking of your disposed Golden Shower hero...i said the exact same thing when Oscar had Hopkins sign for a 157 weight limit...

The bottom line is this...Pac is the same at 140, 143, 144 or 147. The ONLY reason is to get some kind of a perceived advantage over these guys or get them to compromise themselves.

    That's what my issue is.

Besides, I would like to believe Manny isn't a guy who plays these kinds of BS games.

    With all of that said...

Offer Shane a fight at 144 and we'll see Manny end up just like Oscar in the Hopkins fight.

I think Pacquiao is trying to make a big splash by fighting high calibur fighters but he (or his trainer) is mindful of the size he gives away to full-blown welter-weights.

And I disagree that Pacquiao is the same fighter whether he's at 140 or 147, at least not with respect to the opponent he's facing.

In theory, Hatton's idea that superior strength and a larger natural size is a definite threat to Pacquiao. He's naturally a featherweight afterall.

It just so happens that whereas Hatton's theory didn't bear out at 140, I think Pacquiao's camp is well aware that it could at 147, especially against the likes of Cotto or Mosley.

U Don't Get it, Joe Namath...By Suggesting & Predicting that Pac WOULDN'T Beat Hatton EASILY, REED Exhibited his "Subtle BIAS" Against him...

Anything LESS than a DOMINANT &/or EASY Prediction for Pac is a CLEAR Sign of HATE....

    get real.

Roach wisely anticipated (and some of us missed it) that Oscar would kill himself making 147...a weight he struggled to make when he was an active fighter at 147.

That's why he took the fight.

Roach is also VERY familar with Mosley and if you ask him if he had to choose between Mosley or Mayweather, he'd choose Mayweather all day everyday. he knows Mayweather isn't as difficult a fight as the Mosley fight.

    Freddie's not dumb.

he views the Mosley fight as maybe 50-50, but has no doubts Manny beats Mayweather. I'd be surprised to see Freddie care about fighting Floyd at 147.

Floyd's not a physical fighter, therefore 147 means nada. Cotto and Mosley are physically strong guys...Manny needs watered down and weakened versions of either to stand a realistic chance.

While I'm at it...Oscar provided the perfect storm...which again, Roach accurately predicted. A bigger guy killing himself to make weight who was never a physical fighter.

if roach considers mosley a harder fight then why the fuck would he ever steer pacquiao in that direction when a mayweather jr fight clearly means bigger money?

For once, I think DL makes a good point here. The fact of the matter is there is a thin line between using the weights to even things out as opposed to trying to steal an advantage. That said I don't think you can call Manny a bitch. From what I've seen it's Freddie Roach's managerial expertise that is pushing the weight issue. I honestly think that Pac would fight Shane and Cotto at 147, but he is just allowing his team to make the decision here, which in essence IS their job.

How has Roach "steered" manny toward Mosley?

Is there a signed contract? Was there an official offer?

All I saw was a press release where Mosley said what he would accept.

Most importantly (and using common sense) do you HONESTLY think Pac/Arum would lock themselves into anything before seeing the outcome of Mayweather-Marquez?

If Floyd looks like shit or has a tough time with Marquez you can damn sure bet that's the fight.

Either way, it's going to be the fight. Roach feels Mayweather's an easier mark than Mosley. He's said as much.

I agree with you that PBF is an easier fight than Mosley. I'm not sure why you're being argumentative about it? Like you said, Mosley is a "physical" fighter, PBF tends not to be. Although bear in mind the PBF of the last three years has fought guys his own size or bigger. When he has a strength advantage, he'll damn well use it. For example, check out his fight with N'dou or Chavez. He was bigger and stronger than those guys and mauled them inside as a result.

It's the "entertaining" PBF when he fights a guy he can out-muscle inside. It's what PBF's been looking for and why he retired. He was tired of the back-lash created by the boring style he needed to beat the likes of ODH and Baldomir and would've certainly needed to beat Cotto or Margarito.

PBF "wants" to be entertaining, but never at the cost of possibly losing. In JMM, he thinks he has an opponent he can be aggressive against and impose his will instead of stepping across the ring throwing one counter at once.

glad we're in agreement. I never suggested mosley would get the pacquiao fight. I was pointing out that it would be fuckin ridiculous for pacquiao to fight him instead of mayweather jr. just like it would have been retarded for mayweather jr to fiight him instead of marquez.

I doubt roach considers mayweather jr a much easier fight than mosley, but when you factor in that he brings damn near twice as much to the table financially its more worth the risk.

Roach believes Mayweather is an easier mark than Mosley. He has said Manny beating Mosley is 50-50 (at best) to then say he'd have no issues taking the Mayweather fight and he wasn't talking about money.

And since you brought it up, once again a pro-Mayweather guy makes my point about Floyd bitchdom.

    Thanks for that.

its not about money? sure thing. its all about money. if you are going to get beat up either way then you take the fight which pays twice as much.

I'll say this one more time...

When Roach was asked about the matchups...who Manny matched up with better...Roach said Mosley was the tougher fight. had nothing to do with money.

Be careful Neil, you're flip flopping over the course of these past two posts...first you indicate Roach has "steered" manny toward Mosley, not you're saying it's wise to fight mayweather.

    Careful careful

Cash aside, i'd rather see Pac fighting Cotto, followed by Floyd maybe, let Mosley face Berto or feed him to Paul Williams
