regressed? he lost to a guy with plaster in his hands. looked fine against the bum he fought after that. and then had problems beating arguably the best fighter he's faced. there's no evidence, given the circumstances, to suggest that he's regressed.

like i said, i just think he was never as good as people said he was. he's actually somewhat predictable, and doesn't have much hand-speed. his greatest assets are his strength, his body-punching, and his heart. but i'm not sure he was ever the elite P4P fighter that people claimed he was.

PBF would box his ears off. And as many have said, Pacquiao will undoubtedly beat him, although I'm not sure about his knocking him out.

i'd pick Mosley in a rematch. and i'd probably pick Margarito too in a rematch, even without his plaster.

something tells me that Cotto will seriously hurt pacquiao. I'm not really a Cotto fan, but Pacquiao won't steamroll through Cotto like he did against Hatton, and won't last long enough to break him down. Cotto will maul him badly.

Agreed! Cotto also said in a recent interview that he WILL NOT SACRIFICE his body and that he will go no lower than 145.

It's not as if Cotto doesn't have a legit chance against Manny people.

Cotto is a bigger and stronger fighter than Ricky Hatton....

Like someone mentioned earlier....Manny hasn't even taken a legit 140 pound shot yet. Cotto will land some shots on Manny.......I guarantee it.

The question then is,..can Pacquaio take a big shot at welterweight.

    I think he can...

and I see Manny probably busting Cotto up and stopping him in about 7 or 8 rounds.

    at the Ricans.

So you have to be superman to beat Cotto??

No, you just have to be a better fighter, which Pacman undoubtedly is.

I don't disagree with you. But as you know, all it takes is one shot. And for as good as Manny Pacquaio is....and credit all goes to him for this fact......Manny still hasn't tasted true 140 pound power yet, let alone 145.

    Manny should be the favorite..

But to think that Miguel Cotto isn't at least a LIVE underdog in this fight is preposterous.

Both are good and hit hard. Who has better boxing skills? I think Cotto has the better skills as demostrated in his earlier fights. He has better defense too. Who hits harder? Maybe Pacquiao. Who has the better chin? Cotto has been knocked down and on queer street a couple of times. With Margacheato he basically quit. Pacquiao? He has been KO TWICE by flyweights! Sure, he took everything from Morales, Barrera and Marquez, but it is a big question mark if he can take a punch from a welter like Cotto. Regardless who win, this will be a memorable fight and I will not miss it for anything!:bears:

I think Pacquiao is an all-time great but he ain't never fought a cat with the power and strength that Cotto has. And for those that continue to question Cotto's chin. How and why? The dude hasn't been ko'd. He's been hurt but not ko'd. Hell in the Marg fight he didn't really get ko'd he just took a knee. And the other fights he was able to get recoup right back. Pacquiao is in deep shit. I'll Holla 5000

care to take another sig-bet crack at me in this one Leon?

Cotto fights defensively, has been dropped alot of times, hurt way more times, idk how many times this can be debated but a good chin is ability to take punches without falling down. Cotto's chin is average at best.

    Pac by KO

Mex and myself both went for Pac in that fight, check the league.

I have been a believer in Pac since the Ledwaba fight. Cotto is fucked.

Cotto might lose but you can bet your ass this is Pac's toughest fight since the Marquez fight.

not in my opinion, Cotto is too open defensively, not Hatton-bad which means he might last till the midway stage, but if Pac fights the right kind of fight he wins easy.

He has only been down three times. One was a push by torres. The other two were against Margarito.

Pacquiao will feel the power of Miguel Cotto...for the first time he will feel the punch of a real Welterweight...let see how Manny copes w/ that...

Everybody is looking at what Pacquiao is going to do w/out thinking of what Cotto will do in there......Cotto has been in there w/ some top competition and never looked out of his league....Pacquiao is no difference..

Let see how he reach to a left hook/upperucuts from Cotto...

Agreed! The key here for Cotto (in my opinion) will be his jab and his timing that he showed against Mosley.

So you don't even think Cotto will be as competitive as David Diaz was?

    Those are pretty low expectations.

I think Cotto's decline as a fighter has been really exaggerated. I mean, Clottey is a damn good fighter and great defensively. That's just not a guy who is easy to look good against. I'm picking Pac but I'm starting to think its not going to be as easy as some think.

I think that Pacquiao could beat Cotto, BUT if Cotto nails him good either in the chin or the body, it will be lights out for Pacman. So, of course, I'll be rooting for my boricua boy. Pacquaio was KO silly as a flyweight...it can happen again, unless he put some adamantium to his jaw bone!

are people actually thinking Cotto should be afraid of pacquiao? Im glad he is not impressed. That doesn't mean he doesn't respect the guy. Cotto is not stupid and he knows that Manny brings to the ring.

Not to long ago Cotto said this will be his biggest fight of his carreer.
