btalk has been helping Ishe Smith get noticed for some reason. I read some silly article recently where they pulled the race card. Saying something about if his last name was Rodriguez or some Latin name he would get fights period. :notallthere: Ishe Smith sucks and has a horrible defensive style. That is the reason his carreer is going nowhere.
The reason Btalk is helping him is because like Judah and a few other fighters who were dumb enough to sign with him, G. Leon is Ishe's advisor.
yeah that Leon guy is so biased it's ridiculous. Hell, goldenboy dropped Ishe after the Powell fight which is one of the worst fights i've ever seen.
Though Ishe Smith is SMALLER than Daniel Jacobs, this Fight Still INTERESTS REED for the Simple Fact that NOBODY Looks IMPRESSIVE Against Smith...If Jacobs Becomes the 1st to Do So, that'll B NOTEWORTHY... REED:hammert:
Most fighters who take their "step up" end up fighting a guy who had bad defense to begin with. Smith is still very crafty. While the fight won't be entertaining, I like the matchup.
Yeah, I don't see any real need to criticize this fight. Smith's being smaller is to be expected, it is a showcase fight, but it's not egregious...he's not that small for middleweight and he's fought above 154 a number of times. Smith's a capable fighter, had world class experience, and knows how to handle himself...but he doesn't have a lot of power and has shown a lack of activity even in winnable fights. Frankly, it's an improvement from a lot of HBO showcases.
