Hmmmmm., good question. I wouldnt rule it out. Penn is 5'9" and with the type of explosiveness it takes to overcome the resistance of water 3ft high I wouldnt be surprised if he could. BJ is a really great athlete.

 

Maybe instead of jumping out of pools, BJ should try working on his cardio.

He's been in better shape at 155. He's only out of shape at 170. I think that makes a huge difference. Has he ever gassed at 155?

 

BJ is going to destroy Florian. Florian MIGHT not get knocked out, but he's gonna be hammered into submission, no doubt about it.

 

I can't get the Sherk fight out of my head. Florian couldn't even beat Sherk who got dominated by BJ.

 

Yeah, but Florian is a way better fighter now than he was back then. I still think Penn beats him clearly, but the fight wont be a blowout like some think.

I could be wrong though, Penn is extremely dangerous at lightweight.

 

I like Florian and I think he will make it interesting. He's a pretty good striker and has some dangerous elbows. I think he loses but makes it a good scrap.

must be pretty close, based on a 36" box jump through fucking WATER! :: It'd take about a 38-40" vert for a 5'9 guy to dunk, which despite internet boasting is EXTREMELY rare (average man has a 20" vert, average NBA player 28"). But he can't be too far off.

I really doubt you have any idea how difficult jumping out of a pool is or its correlation to vertical jump, though, am I right?

 

I tried it today after reading your post. I'm 6'5" with a vertical only slightly better than the thickness of a credit card. It wasn't pretty.
