There are MMA groups out there that runs shows on a regular basis and make money. They're nowhere near the level of UFC, but they are still succesful. Lou Neglia's Ring of Combat out of NJ does quite well and has a good local following. Are they making millions? Of course not, but they are making a profit and that means they're succesful. That's another impact that TUF has on MMA, as many of the fighters that don't catch on to the UFC become headliners for the smaller groups and help them succeed. I'm hoping I can make it down to AC for Ring of Combat 26 in September. TFK
good post TFK. From everything I have read, Strikeforce has done well financially and built a great fanbase as well. Hopefully they stay on the right track. I know Dream is very young, but it seems to be gaining steam as well. Of course, the UFC is the big dog and kicking ass. But to say no one else is successful is foolish.
Thanks D. I agree totally... my boxing on the way out was not what I meant to say, but you know what I meant. It simply isn't as popular anymore and that's a fact. I will def/ talk more trash about MMA next time.
That had better be a compliment. :nono: I've posted several pictures up here throughout the years, I thought everyone knew what I looked like.
I'd like to know where you get this idea that Dream is a huge ,profitable organisation. from everything I've read, theyr tv rating are not as godd as expected, and theyr about to be dropped by theyr broadcaster. I was a huge pride fan ,so I hope that dream manage to do well, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be the case
