How do you see it going? Presumably against a focused Jackson(Liddell fight), not the lethargic clown who fought Griffin.

WHO IS the Real Rampage Jackson???...He's Been Consistently INconsistent, from what REED has Seen...The Jardine Performance WASN'T Exactly Scintillating...

It's NO Coincidence to REED that Silva has Looked CONSIDERABLY BETTER Against Common Opponents (Henderson & Now Forrest), than Rampage Has...Silva Wins a WIDE, UNANIMOUS 3 Round Decision or STOPS Rampage LATE, if it's a Title Fight...

So Rampage is only focused when he looks good? He was focused for Liddell and Silva but he wasn't in the Forrest and Jardine fights?

    Silva whoops Rampage.

I'd make Silva a firm favourite, i give Rampage a shot.

....Rampage is a lot tougher than Forrest, and not nearly as open....i expect Silva to be too nimble, but has has to keep it up.....and if he gets too cocky, and Rampage does land something, it could take Silva out.

I don't know what strategy Rampage would go with. He's elected to stand up recently, and that has generally served him well, but with the strength advantage, and Silva's striking skills to contend with, he may be better mixing it up more with his grappling.

I've been saying since Rampage/Henderson that Anderson would whup Rampage. That certainly hasn't changed.

I think Dan has a better shot with Silva at 185 than Rampage does at 205.

Me too, Silva's weakness is wrestling. He'd have no problem with a striker like Rampage IMO.

It's been a while since I saw the Rampage/Herderson fight, but didn't Page out-wrestle Henderson?

Silva hasn't ever faced a guy as big, strong, tough and experienced as Jackson.

I don't see him being a huge favorite here. His body looks less fit at 205,...and his destructions of Irwin and Griffin are a bit misleading ,...

Styles make fights and both those styles were tailor made for a guy with the skillset of Silva.

Rampage would definitely take Silva down.......definitely.

    exactely

Silva is great, but I still rebember him barely scrapping by a big strong jap with not much skill in pride (alesander otsuka I think). Jackson is as strong as it comes, I think he might work a bit of GNP magic on silva

Rampage is the only fighter besides Machida with stand up skills to give Anderson trouble.

Obviously Rampage could knock anyone out. The guy hits hard for sure, but unless he does that I see him being picked apart by the much faster Silva. He looked clueless at times in the Forrest fight, leg kicks and keeping range, things that Silva is VERY good at.

It was Daiju Takase and he wasn't a big 185er...actually he is a well below average fighter,he just had the perfect style to beat Silva.I think somebody posted the fight not to long ago

He dominated the fight with Silva. Took him down in about 5 seconds, controlled him, pounded on him and then submitted him with a triangle. He made it look easy. This was in 2003 though and I think we can all agree Anderson has become a much better fighter since that time.

Nah, he would. You don't not get better training for 6 more of your prime years.

Why not? I think he's better now than he was in back then but he's never fought anyone like Takase since that fight though but he is better no question

How do you think a Silva vs Maia fight would go? If Maia could get him down it may look like the Kakase fight.

learn how to read, the takase fight was nothing like what I described.

I said silva barely scrapped by him(meaning he won), wich exclude the takase fight since he lost.

Personally I think the winner of Maia-Marquardt would be a solid test for Silva. I know Marquardt already failed against Silva but I just think he'd do better the second time around and he definitely has the tools to push anyone.

Maia, on the other hand, would be tough for anyone at 185. The guy is sneaky strong, has great throws, and is smooth as butter on the ground.

I really don't want to see any rematches, so I hope Maia wins the Marquardt fight and gets the next shot. I'm not too excited about Anderson vs Dan Hendeson 2. I think Maia is the only one left at 185 that is interesting.

I'm not sure, I've seen all of his fights so far in the UFC and I don't remember him ever being on his back long. He did sub Sonnen with a triangle though. He's had 4 fights in the UFC and submitted everyone so far. They are all decent wins too. I'd have to watch some of the fights again to see for sure, I just remember being impressed when I saw the fights live.

He might not, Marquardt is no slouch, he's probably the 2nd or 3rd best guy in the division.

What about a Marquardt vs Henderson fight? That would be a good one.
